Not could be. It is.I see you bolded the section you were trying to fix. I read that article, and I suppose that could be true.
It makes sense though, monkeys and humans having a common ancestor.
Kinda like...

HMMMMMMMMMM.
I wasn't meaning to sound as if I was questioning it. Just thinking about it and while typing it and started to see the truth through it all.Not could be. It is.
It's cool. People don't like to think we've been evolving on this planet for millions of years. They can't quite grasp that their oh-so-precious-life isn't that precious at all.I wasn't meaning to sound as if I was questioning it. Just thinking about it and while typing it and started to see the truth through it all.
Sorry for the confusion.
Yeah dude, it's ridiculous. People are so afraid to die only because life is all they ever knew. Why doesn't someone just sit down in an operating chair, let someone stop their heart for them to die, and come back with results?!It's cool. People don't like to think we've been evolving on this planet for millions of years. They can't quite grasp that their oh-so-precious-life isn't that precious at all.
Everybody thinks they're hot shit on a silver platter. We are the fortunate and exceptionally lucky products of a vast series of unrelated events.
This is another caveat to religion and why it appeals to us as humans. It appeals to our self importance to say we were deliberately created and therefor special.
there is a common theme with all the ancient religions. do some research before you pawn off all the crap other thousands of past societies went thru it was pretty real to them enough so that their entire society FELT they had to so something to either mark the event or put it into history (generally Momentous i.e pyramids stone hedge etc) this was all before power tools the wheel etc..The Egyptians "knew" the god Ra drug the sun across the sky in a fucking canoe and returned each night to do it with the moon.... we can all agree that's wrong. based on your logic they'd have to be right because they believed it 5000 some odd years ago.
I remember hearing that there was an Egyptian religion, before Christianity, which incorporated a virgin birthed messiah, born in december, along with a few other similarities that I don't remember..there is a common theme with all the ancient religions. do some research before you pawn off all the crap other thousands of past societies went thru it was pretty real to them enough so that their entire society FELT they had to so something to either mark the event or put it into history (generally Momentous i.e pyramids stone hedge etc) this was all before power tools the wheel etc..
people are too lazy now a days to finish reading a post
just because YOU (or our current society ) has yet to understand certain things from the past it cant be written off
History has a very similar pattern... it repeats...
Are you going to make sense anytime soon?? Or just keep rattling around in half circles avoiding my very direct counter to you point. I ignored your weak attempt at an intellectual insult. I thought my reply was not made in an insulting way. Now another insult. This is like talking to a priest..... Keep it up and I might take it personal.... Not only do you flatly imply I am ignorant and unread... but now I'm lazy??? Damn....there is a common theme with all the ancient religions. do some research before you pawn off all the crap other thousands of past societies went thru it was pretty real to them enough so that their entire society FELT they had to so something to either mark the event or put it into history (generally Momentous i.e pyramids stone hedge etc) this was all before power tools the wheel etc..

What the ancients had right is the notion that as their societies went from individual bands of hunter/gathers to loosely affiliated groups of sedentary farmers. That there had to be an accepted and upheld means to enforce the moralities required for living in large unrelated groups. These moral codes were expressed and enforced through the development of religion. You read back now and find the obvious correlation between growing populations and the growing complexity of "religion". As bands formed tribes, the religion got more complex to help cope with the new social dynamic of living with people who you were only distantly related to. As tribes formed chiefdoms, religion became more complex to deal with the dynamic of living peacefully with people you were not related to at all. As cheifdoms became states.... yet again another change in religion to not only live peacefully with people from your region but to know live peacefully with people from totally different cultural backgrounds and traditions. As States evolved into empires the religion change yet again to reflect a moral code necessary to coexist with not only all the previous people stated but now to deal with societies from different races and religious backgrounds.
Please tell me what I am not grasping here.....
In the beginning was the Wordz, and the Wordz was with God, and the Wordz was God. cnlol all the non religious religious experts. Religion rules just because it pisses off all you 18 year old atheists.
