What about these lower-priced breeders?

I see threads here and elsewhere about most of the better known, typically higher priced breeders. But what about some others we rarely see reviews on? In particular, what has been your growing experience with the following lesser talked about breeders?

  • Bomb
  • Ceres
  • CH9
  • De Sjamaan
  • EVA
  • Kannabia
  • Pyramid
  • Rokerij
  • Royal Queen
  • Samsara
  • Seedmakers
  • Seedsman
  • Vulkania

I did not include Female or Sweet Seeds on this list, I have some limited experience with both, and it has been good thus far. My first ever complete harvest of Female Seeds Neville's Haze just took place two days ago and she is drying, but sample buds cut 3-4 weeks ago were really nice (I have not sampled since then). I also partially harvested a Sweet Seeds Green Poison on the same day this week, and it is nice as well. Both plants were easy to grow.

So any feedback on the above would be great. Feel free to add another breeder if they are not on the list, but I want to focus on the lesser known, and less expensive seed breeders.

MANDALA!!!!!!!

Their prices are great, I have seen some really quality looking grows posted here and there. I am trying them now for the first time; Point of No Return, Satori, and Beyond the Brain, and while I am only one week in, I am definitely enjoying the nearly 100% (6 Satori, 6 BtB, 6 PNR, 8 Safari mix planted, so far one safari has yet to sprout). All the seedlings are absolutely rocking and rolling, and they were very healthy looking beans.

I received 3 freebies of Royal Queen. 1. Blue Mistic, 1. Special Queen 1. Ice

I grew out the Blue Mistic. Had a light leak and it hermied on me. It didnt seed up much though, Ive only found a few seeds throughout.
Even with the taint, it is bad ass buds.

Gave the Special Queen to my best friend. He just grew it out and its going through cure now.. Hermied on him. He had heat issues.
Still appears to be dank. He absolutely loves it. I am waiting for it to finish curing before I try it.

I am growing the Ice out on my next grow. If it hermies, regardless of reasons, I will be leaving Royal Queen alone.

Prices are pretty decent, so they fit 1/2...they are well known though. Thanks for the input!

Running a CH9 Super Haze right now. Got it as a freebie, I'll have an opinion on it in a few months.

Currently on day 70 of flowering for a Samsara Sweet Black Angel. This was also a freebie that i have never grown. She will be ready to harvest in about 2 weeks. She is already taking longer to grow out than anticipated.

According to a certain seedfinder site, the Sweet Black Angel will take about 67-73 days to flower, though this might be quite longer than the advertised period.

Yeah that is what I saw as well. She is still popping off white pistils and has clear trichs though, So She still has some time. It will probably be around 85 days when I chop her. The extra time can also be attributed to heat stress. I've been dealing with some issues so i can't entirely blame the strain...

ive tried most of them
seedmakers, seedsman, de shamman, pyramid and rokerij

Only one that ad wank was de shamman and i found a nice purple that stressed some awsome purple phenos.

CH9 pete is a hermie only hacker, un tested hermie pollen

I would recommend going with Ceres or Seedsman. They actually have regular beans and have a good history from what I have gathered. I wouldn't touch most fem strains with a ten foot stick though...

mandala rocks. his 8 miles high is in my top 5... very nice well mannered high. he has a cheap safari mix that's 20 or even 30 seeds on the cheap. if you're looking for a stinky indica, his hashberry is popular.

i like high quality seeds. their $28 haze skunk is seriously potent gear with a long lasting high and low tolerance build up. according to a post somewhere, black label seeds is a sister brand to HQS like sativa seeds is to nirvana. i liked their compact autoflowering masterkush well enough for what it is. not a fan of either brand's use of the bubble dome in cardboard lose your seeds asap packaging. HQS thai skunk was closer to an average fruity haze like rokerij amnesia, someone's fruity thai and particularly mutated & slow super lemon haze.

sannies has cheap gear and are very respected in here. i bet their jack is nice.

rokerij amnesia haze is very nice. it held it's own against a bunch of similar fruity jacks, hazes & thais. i'd call it average where DNA's sweet haze is clearly better than average and if you just bought a fem of that and cloned it, it would be a bargain. fems are a cheap way to get otherwise expensive strains. so far, every DNA strain i've tried has been above average. i'd consider their fems bargains.

nirvana used to be good entry level knockoffs, but their fems & autos are notoriously bad and their regulars might be slipping too.

CH9 has potential. i vaguely recall being impressed with their straight up indy looking jack, maybe for potency or lack of odor, but i think it might have stood out a little above average too. jack's cleaner 2 & sweet haze were the real standouts and all of the fine average gear blended together. i'm going to test jack again (i'm pretty sure it makes huge seeds) as well as their more euphoric sounding jack 33.

if you really want cheap seeds, the thing to do is wait for a really good newsletter offer at attitude with at least a couple interesting sounding strains that suit your tastes. then, when you get a couple or so more UFO freebies, you'll at least have a fair amount of strains to compare against each other, especially if you do some cloning.

3-4 TGA beans to get at least a single female isn't as cheap as you can get, but as jack's cleaner 2 is my current favorite strain, it's worth $30 to try for another female or use a male if i have to. a $50 5 pack is reasonable.

john sinclair's sativa trans-love is another $50 strain and blended in with the average fruity hazes for it's buzz that was nice euphoric & motivational, but that strain impressed me with how much faster it made buds than anything but a masterkush auto in my garden. the buzz is better than C99 on that strain and if you were really in a hurry, you could get bag appeal bud in just 30 days of flowering. i'm crossing it with 55 day cinderella apollo to see if it can become an even faster haze. a strain that gets you high like this with the speed that it buds made this strain one of the best freebies i've ever bought. if it got crossed with sweet haze, it would be awesome i bet. mind you, those buds i had to take down around the 40 day mark because of severe hot spot burning were also making seeds with barely enough fan leaf for the task. my topped seattle just made a nice flat top of 8 buds without any training. it just stopped stretching when i flipped it and sprouted buds and made seeds quickly.

hope that helps

Often hear about 8 Miles High, going to have to try it someday. Doesn't appear to have to flower too long either.

I keep coming back to looking at Rokerij strains simply because they are so inexpensive. But I understand they just buy their strains through someone else, which is fine if they are just as good as more expensive versions. I do have a 5 pack of their Bubbles, but have not popped any yet (I was looking for a cheap pack to get the June Attitude promo!). I've read some good words about the Mango too.

nirvana used to be good entry level knockoffs, but their fems & autos are notoriously bad and their regulars might be slipping too.
I have a PPP in flower right now, 59 days of 12/12. Not really happy with this one, might have been a weaker pheno. Yield is going to be low, leaves yellowed too quickly in flower for my liking with the same regimen on nutes and lighting as the Female Neville's Haze and Sweet Seeds Green Poison. I still have more seeds and might give it another whirl after trying some others I have on hand first. Depends on the smoke.

Hmm, I don't see those strains in CH9's gear. TGA and DNA have those, respectively.

I grew out the Royal Queen - Special Queen freebie I got outside and she gets a solid 7/10 from me, smooth to smoke, nice flavour and aftertaste, good all round high with a little bit of stone, She didn't stay around long enough after drying to get a cure... If I didn't already have a fuck ton of seeds to grow I would definitely give her an other shot...

ive grown from female seeds, royal queen seeds and sweet seeds. i was very happy with all of them btw all where feminized seeds, no hermies and very easy to grow.

from female seeds i grew their white widow. starts off with a very good head high and after 5 min it goes into a body stone that will put you to sleep if you smoke too much of it.

from royal queen i did the special queen 1. easy to grow and a very nice all around high not my favorite but still good.

and from sweet seeds i grew out their cream caramel. now thats one strain that i will give a 2nd, 3rd and 4t round. the smell that comes out of this one is amazing and sweet very sweet. the smoke is nice and thick and will have you relaxing for a long time. i didnt know much about sweet seeds before but atleast now i can say their cream caramel some good shit.

DOnt touch CH9. Their genetics are bogus! Do your homework on how they breed. And the germination rate was garbage. Nirvana is my choice for a cheap seed bank. Dont let one bad pheno turn a stray. GO with nirvana if you wanna go cheap but if you dont mind spemding a bit Id say stay with TGA or DNA

the only bad thing i've heard about CH9 genetics is that they just make knockoffs of other people's strains which really bothers some people. i just care about results and value myself.

rokerij is OK, but when you look at the price of "higher end" fems that are just a couple dollars more, it's worth it to me to go for that extra bit of quality.

I would check sannies for sure fire in every pack and the freebies are even worth buying. The only cheap seeds I remember growing were super lemon haze, white widow, bubba kush and hawiian snow from ghs I did not have no issues with hermies N all were fire!

companies ive run & love & have made me $ & gotten good feedback from clients :

1) sannie
2) delicious seeds
3) sweet seeds
4) world of seeds

ran advacned seeds kaya47 ...not production worthy but super tastey.

ran dinafem white widow. loved it.

i know that pete from CH9 took test gear from e$kobar and used it to make his own strains. that spells fraud in my book.

just cracked a bunch of freebie inexpensives : paradise , dinafem , barneys , sweet seeds, & g13
