HPS for the entire grow????

Can you use HPS for the entire grow?
will it effect the veg side negatively?

I too have this same question. I would assume that it is ok to veg under HPS. I veg my outdoor plants under the sun, and HPS is basically simulating the sun right? Good question my friend.

Well the MH bulb simulates the early part of the season thats why its a more blueish light. The HPS gives a more redish light simulating the later part of the season. The plants use the differing colors of the spectum at different points in their life. I have used HPS for an entire grow and it worked, but I saw better results when i used MH for veg and HPS for flowering

I use a 250 hps for veg then switch to 2x 600 hps flower. Never had a problem.

It will veg much faster in hight..but it costs lot more then t5 8 bulb..you could do half veg under t5 then half under 1000watt

yeh u can use hps just remember to keep fan blwoing over the plants to keep node space tight and USE A DUAL SPECTRUM HPS BULB

You dont know what your talking about!!!!

If you veg and flower under mh you will have a lot of resin built up in the buds but less yeild then under hps for flower
