Springtails.......Friend or Foe?????????

2 weeks into flower i noticed i had these little white things jumping about at the top of my coco after watering my plant, after a little research i found they were springtails, I found no evidence that they damage the actual plant and at week7 of flower i have thousands of these feckers bouncin about after watering, but the thing is, this seems the healthiest plant i have ever grown, and has never at any stage shown any problems, if anything, the plant seems to be thriving with these things living within it's root system.

I am trying airpot's for the first time and am pretty certain this is why the plant is so big and has so much flower, but am wondering if the the springtails could be in any way helping?




This is her main cola, i have done a little journal on feeding etc, if you want to see more pics, my vote tho is going on i think they may actually help overall

I mean honestly they aren't bad for your plants at all. they're don't even really eat any plant matter. I've read around that their presence represents healthy soil; whether that's true or not I'm not sure. But they definitely won't kill your plants or harm that fat SEXY COLA. haha

springtails killed my Jack Herer so to say that they dont eat plant matter maybe true,(i thought my plant would be cool) however ,when they eat whatever it is , they chomp there way through the little hair like roots and make it harder for the plant to take up the nutes they need to produce the big colas we want, so as soon as you see them get the bug killer out and clean your flowering room REMEMBER YOU ONLY GET BACK WHAT YOU PUT IN

2 weeks into flower i did start to panick as they just seemed to come from nowhere (my flower-room is in different building to my veg room) so i sat and read into it a little and found it hard to get proof they were a real problem and dident really want to start with bug killer's etc as she was just displaying her popcorn.

Now I'm at 7.5 weeks flower and it in no way seems to have harmed my plant, quite the opposite in fact, she is carrying some of the heaviest tops i have seen, and has had no problems what-so-ever, always looked happy and is still piling on the weight now, even with literaly thousands of these critters (you see them most in the run off now) maybe the airpot has provided suffient root-mass to be able to thrive alongside my plant, and not hindure her yield?
I was mayby even thinking that in some way they have helped my plant along her way on some micro bacterial level.....

Springtails are good, they consume dead matter and convert into beneficials.

Springtails made one of my plants grow the worlds largest most potent buds, and springtails also killed and consumed on of my plants the day before I harvested and it was going to be my best harvest ever. good luck with those springtails.
