First proper grow

Startin up a grow journal for this grow. at the moment i have 3 plants im focusing on, im growing them to clone and SCROG the clones. i have a 4'x6'x6' growroom. As of now i have my grow enclose coffin style with a large mirror, my uberlight, and cardboard wrapped with white poly plastic. biggest plant is a little over 3 weeks from seed, and others 2 are about a week behind it. one close up below is big one one is small one

My seeds are bagseed the best i could find. i ordered from nirvana and got my package sans seeds..

My lights are floro/cfl, i have a t8 2x30or40 watt tube shop light, with 6 added 26/100watt cfls. im workin on getting more lights but for what i have its workin for now. they are all 6500k daylight bulbs. got my mylar today, and ill be putting it up soon. also picked up Buds for less. plants are on 18/6 now temps are vary from 70-85, humidity is up since i got a humidifier.

im workin with soil, expert gardner potting soil, with some vermiculite to hold moisture. and i have some 24 8 16 nutes for veggin.

i have one more plant im experimenting on. its from my earlier failed grow. its very stretched and stressed, im practicing topping, cloning with it to get some use from it, and ill probably flower it to see what sex it is just for the experiance.

any advice?

here are a few pics

got home from work today and checked on my plants. watered what needed it and i noticed what looked to be pistols on my biggest plant, the one ive been experimenting with topping, fimming, cloning. i could be wrong and it could just be new growths, but im seeing some other new growths too, i cant remember the term, but i know both male and females have them. and i think its growth rate has increased. im gonna post a pic of it, but not a close up of the questionable pistol. crap phone cam, useless for this. this plant has also been VERY stressed from stretching, and was quite root bound when i transplanted it today. anyway heres SHE is, she has had a rough life, i abused this plant, on purpose to see what all they can handle and to test some techniques.

transplanted to that one, its 8 inch. i should probably a bigger one eh? for reference that crown bottle is a half gallon, i use it to water

would it be safe to clone off this plant if it is indeed goin into flower?

just an fyi: mirrors reflect hot spots of light and will burn little spots onto your plants...look into growing with the scrog method..it takes a little longer to veg but it is well worth it..you can triple your yields if you do it right.
oh and the way to tell if it is flowering is if the pistils are white
not sure what kind of yields you can get using floros (for the amount of time you put into it) since high intensity discharge lamps are what really make your buds thick
goodluck though

um....... mirrors do not create hot spots. tin foil does... and kinked up mylar.

Ive put my mylar up, its a very delicate procedure. im still using my mirror. and i will untill i go full scale and utilize my whole grow room, im cutting down my space from 4'x6'x6' to about 20"x5'x22" at the moment with my coffin design. i added more lights too, i now have a total of

2x 32wat 4' tube flouros
6x 26/100 wat dayligt cfls
1 43/150 wat cfl
1 23 wat 90 wat cfl

for 4 plants 3 of them small, in a very small space. my temps still stay a bit high. my humidity is now very good. and my ph is good. i picked up some blood meeal today to help with nuts. and im startin the 2 smallest on other nuts soon.

i will replant some of the plants after i go get my foxfarm soil in the morning.
bigger pots and better soil. here are some current pics, i still dont know about the big plant and, i dont think ill flower it in my growroom even if it is female. it would be too big a difference in age with the others and size with the stretching. maybe ill axe it or give it away once i get a positive on the sex. here are some pics

any advice, critiscism, compliments?

thanks gamble, i picked those up for like 2 bucks at my local home/garden store. i could no find them at wallmart though.

for the record. i will advise all novices to stay away from vermiculite. its makes watering tricky... luckily im going to my closest hydro store here directly to get my new foxfarm soil :hump:

my mylar isnt to badly kinked, only kinda wavy on one side, and i doubt ill even switch to hps later like i was thinkin. im good friends with the shop man at work, hes helped me a fair amount with this grow, with my light setup mostly and various supplies grifted from work. He's been helpin in his spare time, but last night he called in a favor from me, and if i can get him some adirhol or similar hes gonna start helpin a lot more. he takes some ritalin type pills legit, for some kinda minor narcolepsy, and he traded a few to many of his..

catch yous guys later,

I just got back from the hydro store, took a while to find it since it was my first trip but im back with new supplies. large bag of fox farm ocean forest soil, 2 2gal pots, 1 12" pot, rockwool cubes, and bat guano to go with my blood meal.

on the down side...it was hot today, and to boot my humidifier ran out as well. i got home and my temps were up to 92. time to get my mirror outta there, it was trapping too much heat. since i moved it temps are on a steady drop, down to 84 atm. about where it normally peeks and probably still dropping. plants were a bit droopy as you would expect, so i sprayed em down, filled up my humidifier and we will see how it goes, i suspect they will be fine.

ill try to get some pics up soon. now i gotta head right back out.

Laters,

ok, here are some pics since replants. one of my plants is still droopy but i think it got overwatered on replant. one of the smaller plants looks a little worse than the droopy one in general, i think it may be of a different seed. my "seedbank" is from 2 bags, both were very good. im fairly sure the 2 biggest are the same and from my best bag.

still thinkin the big stretched on is a fem. and i have came up with an idea to get it into 12/12 and keep min others 18-6. gonna take a large box and some flouro tubes im getting, with a cfl or 3 added. the tubes are nifty U shaped t8 4400k 32watt. gonna put 4 of em in the box one on each side on 42wat cfl on the top and mabe a y adapter with a fair size daylight cfl for kicker. will be checking into this tonight. for now i need to transplant it still... its in a 8in. pot now i think. maybe only a 6.5 i know its probably root bound. what do you think about the fimm job on the 2 big plants, thers a fim and a top on the stretched one. the top is on the low side thats kinda weak. and the fim on the main plant was too low, so i dunno how it will turn out. and check out the pretzel stem i did on the main plant... sorry to ramble

i think the heat burned the plants a little, it was that or maybe nute burn on the stretchy one and the main one. i hit the main one with MG before i got my bat guanno and blood meal.. but i think its probably the heat.

thanks all.

Things are still rolling on. i got me new U shaped flouros implemented, maybe not to the fullest extent. they are t8 4400k 32watters. also switched my lights to 12 12 a couple days ago. im in the process of switchin my 6500k bulbs to norm yellow/red bulbs.

the droopy plant is no longer droopy, and the stretched plant was startin to look kinda bad. im fairly sure the browning leaves on the main plant was from the heat. and now my other to plants and the main one to a lesser extent are getting yellow leaves on the bottom. is this normal or a nit. deficiency? when i watered them last they got a nice bat guanno tea, so hopefully that will help if its a nit thing. tried to get some molases to go with it but the store was out. i got some bloom nutes to feed em next watering. the plants seem to be diggin the fox farm soil. and overall id say things are goin good as can be at this point. posting some new pics.

any advice on the yellow leaves would be helpfull. and any general flowering advice too.
