Let me apologize first for asking this question which i am sure has been answered before. I did do a search and was not able to find what i was looking for.:???::oops:

What i would like to know is how long can you store
1) Seeds
2) Buds
3)... There was a 3... i just cant remember what it was at the moment:???:

I would like an estimate time as well as your own personal experience storing these... i was intending on storing vacuum sealed, in the freezer. One of my concerns was do the buds loose potency after being frozen? and if so, after how much time?

I would like to thank everyone for helping me in the past and future, RIU has been great to me so far.

Cheers!

seeds can be good for a few years, put them in zip lock bags inside of mason jars

buds keep in mason jars... for a long time, id say a year (it tastes like shit after a while lol)

Sweet! i read somewhere you can put your buds and seeds in the freezer to store them for long periods of time... everyone here seems to say that the fridge is the way to go... i take it the Freezer will dry out and damage the buds?

What about like a food saver? How long would it last in one of them bags?
These work very, very well. But do not vacum pack them in the bags. Buy the Sealameal that you can also buy vacum sealed rigid containers. You just connect a little hose to the lid after placeing the buds in it.. Walla, vacum sealed and not crushed. I bought mine at WalMart for $38 and the containers for another $15. They should last a few years I would think.

now I am wondering. Maybe there is a perfect temp. for storage. If that temp is above freezing, I bet it is at about 38-40 degrees.

you got it. those are the best temps for storing any thing perishable. a friend of mine puts his in the freezer. kinda makes it all crispy and powdery. not "dry" but powdery. i dont like it. the fridge in the vegtable crisper is perfect. ours has hummidity control. its perfect.

Golden! I'm so happy you posted Lord Dangly Bits! seems like you had a thread similar to mine regarding Vacuum bags and someone posted a link to tightvac. WOW, i have to say that just seems to have solved all my issues. I should have looked harder for that thread.
