Reagan was the worst President ever

What does that have to do with the War between the States? cn
it was the turning point where the USA went from be a United States union with fed oversight to being a huge all controlling federal government that holds complete control over all decisions through political, economic, and military power, also currently known as Murica' (United States should no longer be part of the name as it means so little)

The only people that have a problem with the Civil War are the fuckers who lost. Unless I'm in the fuckin South ( or the freakin internet ) I don't hear shit about the Civil War. People love to change history....If you think the Civil War had nothing to do with slavery (STATES RIGHTS ) then you are one lost individual.
lmfao!!!!!!

You really should find a new hobby, because your reading comprehension skills SUCK!!!! Where in anything I've posted did I say or imply that the Civil War had "nothing" to do with slavery?

This thread ... Morning Wood in America. lol
turns out it was just a piss boner. once clinton wanked it a few times he sprayed in every urinal at once, and we lost our erection.

perhaps mitt romney will bring us some fresh porn and a bottle of viagra... actually no, he wont, its gonna be at least 4 more years of jerkoffs till maybe somebody with a plan and some leadership runs again.

meanwhile we can all rest assured that it was all reagan's fault. and if that doesnt take off, then we can go back to harry truman.

exactly..... one day to save 500,000 lives and the stability of a nation.... and all you can say is fuck you. well done sir. This is why the world hates america, we don't know how to compromise, we all want what we want and nothing else.

you have picked out one small point of the whole statement and the last 5 pages of discussion and feel it can justify or thwart the entire argument.

back to work - stay cool guys

I wonder if that is so. Post hoc doesn't mean propter hoc. I think the consolidation of power had more to do with industrialization. The railroads provided a sterling example: federation v. empire, and empire won. So I question that this trend owed much to the Civil War. cn

i believe the context that is missing is states no longer have sovereignty after the Late Unpleasantness Between the States, and as such federal will rules supreme.

states being subservient to the feds destabilizes our constitution and makes the system fall apart.

also, the union is now a suicide pact. no state gets out alive. thanks lincoln.

that is a very valid point and well delivered, you may indeed be correct, but i feel we lost a lot during the rebuilding of the south and it allowed the federal gov to reform itself into the thing we have today. but i see what you mean about the railways and transport and i think your right.

I consider Lincoln to be neither an avatar nor a traitor. A different President might have failed to keep the Union stitched together. What the next 150 years would have brought ... who can say? One of the ideas that jumps to mind, however, is ... we could all be talking German now. ;) cn

That's what I thought.. Slavery (STATES RIGHTS) was very much a part and reasoning behind the Civil War..

well i'm off for the day, thanks everyone for the great discussion, except londonfog, you seem to just like fighting (very different from discussing and debating), you guys brought up a lot of great points i never thought much about and i, at least, got a lot from this discussion unlike most on here.

with the exception of londonfog this is the first topic of this nature we have been able to discuss reasonably with facts and opinions without it spiraling downward into threats insults and accusations, and i very much enjoyed it.

peace guys see ya tomorrow.

Of course Nixon started it, but Reagan put it on steroids. While Carter called for the decriminalization of marijuana, Reagan got in there and immediately more than tripled the amount of money on the war on drugs to 1.4 billion dollars. By the time Reagan left office that number was over $5 billion a year. So it went from $400 million a year during the Carter admin to over $5 billion a year with Reagan. This is what started our police state whether the right wingers want to admit it or not.
Reagan used alien reptilian technology to brainwash democrats to follow suit and hate marijuana too. Without Reagan's NWO and the owl god Molek, really a reptilian, we'd have gotten help from the Vulcans instead. We'd have a communist paradise with all the new improved marijuana we found on some planet in the Andromeda system.
