so now that i finally see one of these bad boys on its way up , i can get rid of my impatientness ... check 'er out WOOT ... there named by(month/date/year )
When you can see that the cup is root bound. Make sure you have holes at the bottom of that cup for drainage and you can tell when the roots are coming out of them to transplant. Good Luck!
I think he means cover the outside with something. Like to wrap paper or tape or anything you can find darker and non transparent. Glass is not good for drainage. In my opinion is you could wait and water very little & wait a week til they get some root growth to transplant or I'd take a chance, especially if they are bagseed put a couple reserve seeds in a towel to germinate incase they don't take well. Then dig gently about an inch or so away from the plant and find the root or just pull the plant softly out of the glass and have another pot with drainage holes and good soil. Place the seedling with root dangling, with or without soil into new pot half filled with soil. Once placed in soil, hold seedling upright and fill slowly the rest of the pot with soil. Press soil down firmly & water lightly. But thats just me.
any one wanna gimme n idea of when i should move to a bigger pot ? is it dependin on size or how long its been growin for ? when should i start feedin nutrients too ?
I always try to start my plants in the container they will be in at the end. i find a seedling or clone in a 5 galoon bucket with grow 4 times as fast as moving from container to container.I had clones grow almost 10 inches in 2 weeks starting them in they buckets. The point of covering the outside is so light doesnt get to the roots as light will kill roots.Roots need dark no light.
