I don't think it was supposed to be a straight grow video and it definitely wasn't put out by an affiliate of apache. Just a video made by a ghetto ass fan of rap and his apache light. Unfortunately, you guys werent able too look past all that and appreciate the only bud shots I've ever seen posted grown by an apache.

Just watch the last 15 seconds if you only want so see the buds and not the ghetto sluts, I didnt mind it, nice closet ... it does look like its been put up by somewhat of an affiliate only because of the 10% discount at then end, ... seems like an ad targeting younger growers.

Maybe when I have more time I will go through and take still shots of the video and only extract the bud pics for all the anti ass shakers out there. As far as the creator of the vid being an affiliate, I seriously doubt that. I've personally spoken with the owner of apache on several occassions and he strikes me as the type of guy that wants his business to be taken seriously and wouldnt approve putting his logo on something like this. Just a fan video I'm guessing with more interest in making a "cool" video rather than a "grow" video.

I watched the video muted and skipped my way to the plants, I just chose to comment on the ghetto-ness of the content. It was a joke. had I known you were going to take it to heart i would not have replied at all. Lesson Learned.

No worries amax! Didn't take it to heart just was expecting people to comment on the buds because that was the whole reason I found and posted the video. Coincidently, the more times I watch the video, the more hypnotic the dancer's jiggling ass becomes.

I understand, I was just being playful. Next time I'm being an ass I'll remember to at least keep my assyness (I made a word!) on the subject at hand! heh.

And that my friend is why I always leave the strip clubs broke!

I see you picked up the red/white combo, what's the difference between that and the red/blue led combo? is one better for flower and the other for veg?

The red + white will be much better for plants for flowering than the blue + red.

Plants enjoy a full spectrum. White = full spectrum.

Check the Astir threads for verification, they use mostly Warm White and are killing it yield-wise.

Vegging-wise, plants do not seem to care as much, you can toss anything at them as long as it's at least 10% blue, they'll do their thing.

Wow, forgot about this old thread.

Yeah, I went with the white:red but not really for any particular reason other than wanting to have a more complete spectrum. The biggest difference is obviously the white light covering the middle spectrums. Both lights peak around the same nm for reds and blue, but the white:red has a much higher blue peak and of course the nice full spectrum in the middle.

I can't say for sure one is better for flower than the other because i've never used the r:b light. Apache does state that the r:b will trigger faster flowering though. I'd look for tags420's input as I believe he has used both versions. I'm just guessing, but i'd think the w:r would veg better between the two.

I don't think it's their spectrum that's giving Astir the results as much as it is the use and placement of many panels surrounding the canopy. There are still plenty of leds out there that arent nearly as heavy on white and still produce just as good of results.

I am very good friends with the guy who did that quest for the best. Mine is the next step in a full scale Apache grow. I will have (2) B:R4's, (4or6) W:R2's and (2) W:R1's. I'm still in veg but this weekend I will have an update with all the lights when I flip.

I use my lights for both veg and flower and the W/R2's are the best light for everything. In flower the B/R4's a good but the W/R2's are just better. They have more normal stretching/spacing and just seem healthier. I personally think that a W2:R3 could make a great flower light.
