I have a lighting question. Please Help!!!

So i have a 400w mh/hps but i was wondering if i should get a 2' or 4' four tube T5. I have a closet to grow in. The closet is 59in W x 81in L x 96in H or 42sq ft. I plan on setting up the light in the middle of the closet with 4-6 plants underneath. Any information is appreciated.

Ya stick with the 400 in a closet and ya exhaust is a good idea. Put an oscillating fan in there for air movement. :D

I was talking to some people on this site a while back and they were saying i might not even need ventilation more than an osscilating fan in the room and leave the door cracked.

You might be able to get away with that if you have no issue with the smell.

Yup true, might be able to. Without knowing more hard to say. Maybe do a room set up to see what you get for temps before going further, which is a good idea so yu have everything in order before problems happen.

Also do you count the start of your flowering period as when you switch to 12/12 or when you see first signs of pistils?

Personally, I dont count anything. I always harvest on ripeness and not a calendar. That's a debatable thing (12/12 start time). If its so you can set an average time, go with yur first full cycle of a 12/12 day.
