How much are you paying for meds??

Do you get it by the gram, eighth, ounce, qp? How much? Do you buy from a grower or do you go to a dispensary?

I buy from the dispensary. I never pay more than $140 an ounce:leaf:. Ive been looking for a grower to supply me constantly but havent found anyone. Im in LA. Do these prices accurately reflect the rest of Cali???

It all depends, but basically 45 an 8th for "top shelf". 25 - 30 a half gram for good, but not great concentrates. That's dispensary prices. Mind you this is in the I.E. It's mostly OK, but nothing spectacular. I never buy more than an 8th, though every once in a while a dispensary will get something nice in and I will go back and get another 8th.

I mainly smoke my own, but variety is the spice of life, (and he who controls the spice controls the universe) and I don't have room to run 5 different strains, so I go to the disp from time to time. Occasionally I will also trade with my fave delivery service, mine for theirs, 8th for 8th.

Once I get some bubble bags I will go to the disp less and less for concentrates. As I meet and get to know other growers hopefully I will begin to trade with them, and go to the disp less and less.

I used to pay $350 an oz, but that was back in the day.
I'd rather grow my own and know what's being put into the plant.

Sometimes I have a disconnect between the retail and wholesale end of all this. I forget people actually buy buds in quantities smaller than a pound. I don't know why, but it just seems strange to me that people buy 1/8ths and quarters.

I do buy grams however. If I see a strain that looks good and I've never had it I'll totally pick one up.

Fair price for top shelf from a grower should be between 175-200 an ounce(this is with no deviation between ounces and lbs). Fair price for top shelf from a dispensary will probably be between 280-320 an ounce. Definitely better off making friends with a grower.

What kind of shit are you getting for 140 an oz?

I think most people buy 8ths and quarters. Retail, anyway.

Im gettin some pretty good shit. Last week I picked up an oz of Blueberry (amazing quality) for $120. Before that it was Tahoe OG and before that it was Diesel Star and the list goes on..

Yep. That accounts for ~90-95% of retail sales. Gram sales are about as common as 1/2 ounce+ sales. Maybe even less.

I was surprised by this when I first started bud tending. Thought gram sales would be the most common. But they are pretty rare. I was seeing only 2-3 gram sales per day.

Holy shit some of you are getting hooked up. It's not considered meds. here but I use it for pain and insomnia. 400 an ounce broken down from their.

I'd always see people buying grams when I would go. They'd buy one or two then say "Be back tomorrow." I always thought they could buy an eighth and get more and not have to come back right away but different strokes I guess.

I have found this to not be the case at both PIM and CCA. Grams are just slightly less than 1/8s at CCA. At PIM it was about even.

oh yeah prices. 250 per zip MAX for heady indoor organic OG. Which then gets turned into oil but thats another story.

Paid $260 for a oz of MK Ultra the other day...right up there in my top 3 fav's so I don't mind paying inflated prices.

Whoever did this batch of MK did it RIGHT!!!!! How can you go wrong with OG Kush x G13 though?

I live in Humboldt County and sometimes I have to use the colectives when I am in between cycles. The going norm for A grade medication is 40 an eighth. Depending on the collective you use, the B grade stuff can range from 25 an eigth to 32 an eighth. They do not give a sliding scale for ounces so times 8 would be the ounce prices. hate when I am in between cycles lol.

what?? there should be discounts for larger amounts. i've never heard of straight up pricing like that. thats old school black market style pricing.
