Can drops of water on your leaves cause hotspots?

Yes this is a newb question and I obviously know the answer... but im trying to prove a point. If you spray leaves during full sun/heat can it concentrate the light and cause a burn spot?

I don't top water so I guess i've gone off the ignorance of others.. Ive always made it a point to water from above at evening time when the sun is setting. And even so I grow in a GH and I try and limit as much humidity as i possibly can..PM is already annoying in a GH with out having water sitting all over the foliage.

Think about how steady you have to hold a magnifying glass. Sure there is a chance you will
get a single burn spot eventually but not enough to make a difference.
The chances of even 10 drops lining up must be out of this world.

I don't even top water my garden until sun down or morning any ways so I guess I just take extra precaution and the plants can use it before the sun sucks it up any how...I rule in favor of watering morning or night in any regard...top or bottom.


Plus when Im navigating through my jungle I like the sun to be going down so Im not baking in the GH !!

I think hard water burns or spots are mistaken for burn marks from the sun beaming on the water droplets

Kaender like I was saying in the other thread, the talk about mid day burning from spraying has to do with oil based sprays that leave an oil residue on the leaves after the water evaporates. There are actually non oil based sprays in my garden that specifically call for spraying at the hottest brightest part of the day lol

However having lived in Texas where it rains like a mofo then the sun comes right behind and simply evaporates it.
Also I read that sod farmers spray in the hot part of the day to cool the sod.
I`m gonna lurk. Tired of typing in the dark
