starting seeds

The question I have is do I have to have the domes to start my seedlings or can I just put my seedling into the little sponges and then insert the sponges into the little plastic cone shaped holders.

I start them in rapid rooters and once the root is 1" long, I carefully remove the plant from the rapid rooter and put into a neopreme collar.

Vonkins: There are a lot of ways to skin a cat but in an A/G it's always best to do it like you're told. RTFB and do it their way and it's hard to screw up. If you no longer have the book go to their website and read it off of there. Their customer service reps are a good source for information too and it's a free 800 number . Just tell them you're growing tomatoes. I hope that helps. Hank
