If you do just one thing besides water (forget nutes right now) - REPOT! Not later but sooner.
plants are hungry once a month doesn;t cut it for feeding min once every second week its also looks like temps can be a little to hot get them some fresh air quickest way to help them is light foilage spray with 1 - 2 - 1 ratio nutrient if you got money go to a green house ask for some foilage spray food sure they can direct you to the right direction
what appears to be happening is soil is to compact for uptake of nutrients theres no oxygen in soil
oxygen is important for transfers of nutrients to plant you got a good mix just needed more peatmoss , sand and perlite to get it airy
so what appears to be a nutrient burn is more of a def

Or make a more airy mixture of the same sheep manure is a slow N releaser even tho it is classified as a Hot manure

I think Sunshine #4 is a brilliant product, but not for beginners. OP is charged with the welfare of plants planted in soil by (?) her absent boyfriend. Our mission (should we choose to accept it) is to save the plants. A nice side effect would be to assist the OP in learning enough about soil and plants that she can provide an informed critique the next time raw sheep ploppies are suggested for the mix.

It depends on the proportion and the soil. Personally I'd compost it first. Uncomposted, i'd use it sparingly and topdress with small amounts to keep the N profile from swinging too wildly up&down. Jmo. cn

Laying the buckets on their sides, drilling the top of the circle presented and then rolling the bucket to drill another sector would seem to work. However I'd do this in a place where (when/if the soup starts to come out because a hole got rotated low) it isn't a problem. Porch or bathtub ... cn

do be afraid to repot Its fun! At the nursery I work at whenever we come across rock hard soil we put the entire rootball in a bucket of water for a couple of minutes to help loosen things up before eventually putting it into better soil mediums and a larger pot. (always with drainage) hope this helps.

repot water with water your soil sounds HOT(high in nute) maybe skip a feeding im pretty firm about low level feedings and constant contact(organics) with nutes.
drain holes arent a must but it takes an experienced hand to do it right(worth the results i had it down to a science in 2L)
REMEMEBER: water when dry dig you finger in deep make a spot for it check the moisture concern yourself with soil down below having drain holes also makes it easier to do this or letting the soil get pretty much bone dry and tray feeding water you can literally add a cup or 2 a day and it will be sucked down by the next, finding that right moisture content takes time and practice.
this looks like a case of over watering.

Step 1: Get another 5 gal pail.
Step 2: Drill some motha fuckin holes in that bitch
Step 3: Fill it 1/4 way with perlite.
Step 4: Get some Fox Farms Happy Frog soil and fill the bucket up
Step 5: Get ready cause now your backs gonna hurt, your on gardening duty, mix it all up evenly.
Step 6: Pour half of the mixed soil out and prep ur plant for transplant
Step 7: Remove plant gently, gently remove as much excess dirt as possible, u can wash it off with GOOD pH water.
Step 8: Re plant in good soil and mix the excess mixed soil around it
Step 9: Water with at least a gallon
Step 10: Check ur temps and pH daily. Water as needed, might be more or less than 4 days, use ur lady fingers and feel inside the holes to see if its wet down there. Im sure u can do this part fine. If its all dry, obviously water.
With all that said, ur plant will prob die, good luck

OK guys this is what I did, took the plants out of the buckets, took off all the hard dirt but left some on (about 30/70) drilled holes in the bottoms of the buckets (thank god!) Put 5 inches of a pearlite vermiculite mix on the bottom of the pail, put the plant in, filled the sides with the mix, and flushed .I'm debating whether or not to feed them right away.

No just cool it down its very hot in there and drop the feed back by 25% after you have flushed with ph 6.5 water.Alright so I should repot them? Jeeze thanks for the help, these guys are mother plants they are supposed to be here for awhile
