Albino Bud? - Worthless

While ago I wrote a reply to a guy who wanted to know why he shouldn't trim his fan leasves so the buds could get more light.
I told him about my experiment with that a few years ago. I had 4 Armageddon plants going at the time and I cut off maybe
2/3 of the fan leaves. Wanted to get more light on the nugs. Plants kept on growing normally except all the green stuff turned
albino white. I dried and cured like normal. But there was no buzz factor in the product at all. None. I ended up throwing out
what should have been a killer QB of product.

Last evening a newby came by. He's a guy I been helping to get going with his grow. He opened his hand like he possessed magic beans
and excitedly told me he had scored some "albino-white". Told him no, you got albino-worthless. Sure enough we tasted the white
and got nary a rush or buzz. Worthless.

So I'm warning ya'll that albino reefer is not usable, imo.

those plants look like they have a huge deficiency going on which is causing the prob. the tip of the bud in the first pic is green as can be, so its trying to grow right but its lacking or has too much of something. just my opinion.

No deficiency is going to cause that. Those are healthy plants with partial albinism.

those are variegated leaves, growing out a variegated plant of my own, though not so dramatic as Dwezelitsame's plant
very cool looking plants come from this trait, though some are just mutant/freaks that produce little

the reasoning that cutting off 2/3 of the leaves caused it to be white does not hold water. its genetics that do that.

I don't quite get it; you said you had Armageddon plants which you assume went albino due to your experiment, then your buddy shows up with "albino-white" and you smoke it and it is garbage???

It's called variegation(wikipedia) and it usually is found in the ornamental horticulture society's

Do you suppose your Armageddon were not true, chooping away all the fan leaves could not have caused what you experienced. Did you hold on to any of the plants, you can be the new DJ

variegated means uneven coloration in the leaves
it's not exactly a trait, but a description, so you can have both, albino and variegated
