So question of the day for me is 7 or ten gallon smarties.....im thinking of doing a side by side comparison on some blue dreams i have to transplant anyway. my goal is to achieve the 1 oz per gallon within the same veg time due to my revolving system. hopefully i can convince the partner to let me put up a journal so we can all watch the progression. if no pics ill just update the lab with my findings.

P.S. nugs that vortex is looking amaing, im currently runnin a 32 head Tahoe og and she is starting to run out of gas around week 2 going into 3. any mid flowering tea recipes that can get me through?

in 5 gal h2o, add 2 cups EWC, 1/2 cup powdered kelp, 1/2 to full cup high P guano, 1/2 cup high N guano (for two more weeks, then just P), and 1/2 cup sucanat, and if you have it....little scoop of great white.....put it all in a filter bag, and bubble it for 24 hours.....you can check ppm and ph before you give it to your girls.....if she is already fading, you should try to be around 800 ppm, and 6.5 ph....hit her hard for the next three weeks, then h2o and sugar only....good luck...

10 gallon imo. It is what I run and it is surprisingly small.. but you can grow BIG plants

I moved from 15 gal hard pots to 10 gal smart pots without losing any yield.

Make up some kelp/bat guano tea and water with that.....Should have gone with subcool super soil

i went with super soil, but this bitch is a true hog, and i should have went 80%!....but i went 50%, and now i am supplementing....but i have her perfect right now, and she is exploding!.....sometimes that is hard to accomplish, when you get into an early fade situation, and have to get her caught up using teas (which imho is the only way to go to get a plant up to speed)....it is all to easy to lock up using bottled nutes, straight from the bottle....but if you use bacteria, and bubbles, it can be done.....and you can also still achieve a proper all-out fade without the trickle effect at the end.......so i am patting myself on the back pretty hard!

i am moving up to 8 gal for this winters indo.......i think 7-10 is ideal, if you are really trying to get killer yields.....but the secret is to properly manage your canopy.......mainlining!

I imagine dude your plants are freaking BEASTS lol im surprised they haven't devoured a stray cat or something, lmao. I'm glad to hear it from a person with this much experience that hitting it hard with bottled nutrients in not the right way to go about fixing up a fading plant that early on into flowering. Bacteria breaking down the poop and nutes is the way to go!

On another note, how is the flavor and punch of that properly cured pebbles bro?? *mouth watering*

i was just in your thread bro....and coincidently i am dealing with the exact same thing.....please do what i am doing, you won't regret it...but please use bacteria, and bubble any nutes/guano/kelp for 24 hours, so she can start feeding immediately, and you can still achieve a perfect fade without trickle effect....

I guess I have no idea how to read my plants. I have an empty pot in there so I can gauge when I'm low on moisture. They all seem dry but my plants are just as perky as ever!! What should I be looking for? Neither of them really wilt...

Try lifting up the pot. if it's super light compared to when it's just watered it's probably time to water it. usually if i'm unsure i'll also stick a finger into the soil down a knuckle or two...if I feel no moisture, it's time to water. but yeah, dry soil is super light compared to wet soil.

oh and don't trust the empty pot...by empty I assume you mean full of soil, without a plant in it? the plant is going to pull moisture out at a much faster rate than just air dried soil.

pick them up. the weight of the pot is the easiest best way to gauge moisture content imo.

Over the course of my grow I go from watering once every 2 weeks (at the beginning of veg in 10 gal smarties) to about once a week at the end of veg to once every 3 days in bloom, so yes, they will start drinking more as they progress. But each environment is different and you most certainly do not want to overwater, so picking up the pots is the best method to use... imo
