WHEN DO FARMERS CUT THEIR CORN??? (ontario)

Hey i was wondering when farmers cut there corn in ontario ??? i am really worried about them cutting theirs before mine is done!!
If anyone has any knowledge on this, i would appreciate some feed back.

A lot of crops were ruined this year and the farmers are cutting early. to clear the fields. Call your local AG office for info on what's going on in your area.

I wouldnt even attempt this in BC (okanagan valley) I would probably be half way through flower when they cut the crops. When do you expect your plants to finish out of curiosity?

I'm still trying to figure out why you would plant in a field if you don't know when the owner will be out there to harvest his stuff.

Best bet is to hit a farmers market and ask questions. It could be an off season and this will give you a roundabout time when they might be out there. Good luck!

I can't speak for ON but in BC (lower mainland) food crops (human food) usually get mowed over end of sept. and feed crops (animal food) usually mid oct.

Depends on type of corn. Cow corn is harvested later. Human corn is getting harvested now. You should never plant in cornfields to be consumed by humans

Hoping a quicker finishing plant would help the situation. I was actually glad he put that in there. We could all say no it's not going to work and he could have an auto that's been out for awhile already. The more info in the original post the better answers he will get.

Gioua - i just said the strain because im not to sure how long this strain takes to flower, never tryed it before. Not a strain related question, just throwing in all the information .


And as for when the plants estimated harvest is around mid october im thinking. Not 100% tho.
I think im guna dig em up cause they havent started to flower yet. I am starting to realize this was a very bad choice. They do so well in corn fields cause they get so much light.
DAMN , i guess ill try to hide them in along brush and stuff in the corners of the field.

It's a way to grow and not get caught. Although this isn't a good example. Some people can't grow on their property and still want to grow so they do it on someone elses. I think it adds an element of excitement and risk for the grower as well. I just can't do it. I am too OCD to leave my plants somewhere!

You might be suprised but planting on somone elses property ( respectfully) is a amazing way to have a secure patch.
Think about it, you only have ONE person to watch out for. The farmer. And 1 person is easy to dodge, exspecialy when your only going in pitch black at night. But i am scared still lol. This spot was a last minute thing i was in a rush and didnt have time this year, lost alot of plants early this year, and i still wanted to have a harvest.

I am guna transplant tonight. i really hope i dont damage the ladies to much . I am thinkng using a recycle bin. The roots are pretty deep tho. Its guna be trippy
