Should I be flowering? (Lots of info and pics so help quick!!) :)

I have no idea when I stated but I know it was at least 4 weeks ago. I notice some of my plants have white pistil hairs which means it is pre flowering right?. One plant is dead or close to, Ones still small and stunted and the three others seem good to go. I don't plan for my plants to get any bigger since the pots wont be big enough for them. They all seem to have 5 to 6 nodes. (Although I may be wrong as to what a node is)

Please note I have not started my 12/12 cycle. These white hairs should not be there yet right?


At this point for my first time grow I don't care if ones a male and seeds them all. I'm the one smoking it.

I'm going through some threads and I see most people flowering there plants waaaaaaay smaller then mine. Mine were stretched at the start because of poor initial lighting.

The baby plant is a ft and a half
The Deadish Plant is a 2 ft and 3 quarter
The 3 big live plants are 2 ft, 2ft and a half, and 2 ft and 3 quarters


For the dead plant, all the leaves are curled an dead the only thing that seems alive is the stem. Should I just go ahead and throw it out? If not should I let it recover on its own? Or should I cut off every branch and maybe half the stem for it to start over?

Your plant will stretch first coupla wks 12/12 to probably 3 times the size so if you've not much headroom, consider flippin. Also when the plant gets mature enough through veg it will naturally show its sex

Three times the fucking size???? I already thought my 2 1/2 ft was tall enough. lol! These pots will absolutely not cut it then right? I kind of am broke until I get a job again bud ;) I can't afford bigger pots! :(

Jst means more watering in my opinion, Most will say small pots stunt growth but I think it jst means watering more often.....

I'm sayin 3 times the size, but it will depend on the strain and genetics, you'l be talking double at least

I used bagseed for all 5 plants. I cant tell with the baby or dead one, but the rest seem to be all female. I see the Characteristics 2 white pistil hairs. And some pears.

Can you do me a favour and look at picture number 4, 6 and 10? That's the only big live plant where there is no definitive white hairs yet so im not sure what sex it is.

Its hard to tell m8, they usually show sex on from the 4th/5th true node.... A node is where the branches grow from where you can see the white hairs on your other ones.... If your worried about size ad flip them 12/12 and maybe a coupla canes for support, they'l all be showin sex 7-14dys from flip

Three days ago I switched from the single 100w halogen and 2 lamps cfls to the 100W halogen with 2 splitters and 4 cfls and 2 lamps cfls. I can go and get another splitter and switch the 100w halogen to 2 more cfls for a total of 8 cfl's. I cant do anything else at all for lightning until I go put out some resumes.

That was confusing

Prior to 3 days ago 100w Halogen 2 cfl's
After 3 days ago 100w Halogen 6 cfl's

I'm down to throw out the dead alien and the baby plant to focus more light for my 3 healthier ones.

Yeah...You don't have anywhere near enough light for the number of plants you have..you would do better to pick the one that is female and doing the best and toss the others til you can afford to get some real lights. Halogens aren't really that good for growing, they are a lot like incandescents in that respect. They put out more energy as heat, than as light.
Also try not to overfeed, or overwater any of them...it is easy to overwater plants under CFLs because they don't get very warm...also it doesn't look like you have a fan...Fans are for a lot more than just cooling...they also help your soil to dry out, and make your plants stronger and thicker.

They have poor lighting still...

I use a 400w CMH light for flower, and I don't flower anything over 18 in tall...because I only have like 3.5 ft max room in the flower tent...A plant doesn't have to be big to yield well...But it does have to have enough light and not too much water.

Hey check on the first page, I clarified what lighting I had to what I upgraded too, you must have just missed it! And thanks Missnu I just put a fan in there after I read what you said!

I'd say thats a fem as well mate, jst waitin on the hairs to show through, and I would also concentrate on your healthy ones especially with limited light

No....I saw...but what I am saying is that your upgrade is just kind of wasting your power. CFLs aren't that great for growing plants, but they are totally better than halogen or incandescent bulbs...

Yea sorry was telling Manti to check out the last page.

And trust me when I say i went to every Canadian tire, home hardware, etc in town. Nobody had any HID lightning. I will have to order a kit from ebay one day.

The only thing i can do right now is beef up on cfl's.
