Too bad for you I guess. Before making statements like this you should do a side by side test. In a six week test I tried voodoo once a week right beside her sister that recieved only the nute schedule, There was NO comparision! The girl mainlining the voodoo was WAY more fuller(so much so, she could have went into flower a week earlier) while the sister looked really good but once side by side there was no comparision.

As for yeild the voodoo girl was almost 4 zips bigger than my average.

If used correctly all these additives can be an advantage but if you have no clue and just use it because so and so said so....You get what you put into it.

I love rapid start, voodo juice, orca and flo and brews compost tea. The tea gives the best results and the most growth. Ive just started playing around with the compost teas in my nft tables. All i can say is WOW! Ive noticed way more root growth, faster transition into flowering times and an overall generally healthier and what appears to be frostier plant. My votes for all of the above.lol I run the AN line up and the tea is complimenting it nicely. Wonka

I find my home brewed teas work great but for store bought nutes i pretty much stick to fox farm brands.

Hmmmm ,who to belive? The guy at the hydro shop or some random guy on the internet. It's a toss up.I would like to think a reputable company wouldn't be selling something which didn't work.I don't belive companies are targeting the "noob market".I think you might find they have done tests and research to determine that their product does what it says it does and are open to scrutiny of home and professional growers.Using additives doesn't make you a noob.

think of it this way,
random guy on the internet isn't trying to sell you something
also, just look at the bodybuilding supplement market, I use additives also, but you have to admit most companies DO NOT do the research you think they do. Hydro industry is 90% hype, just like every supplement market

cool, do you have any pics or notes to post, of your side by side comparison test with voodoo ?
i would like to check out your results .. you ran 2 clones under equal light and the voodoo treated plant yielded 4 oz more than the other clone
how much did the other clone yield ?

i myself use no additives and have no problem growing large yielding plants ,, which is more about genetics and amount of light used anyway than the brand of food or additives

i have run side by side comparisons of other products over the years, i have not found any miracle additives as you have .. maybe i was unlucky, maybe you was lucky :)

do any of your voodoo treated indoor plants yield over 1lb each ?

First off NO, like an idiot I did not start taking pic until after I became legal last year. I see that a lot of people are intrested so I am planning on starting a comparision thread. I run one plant per 600 watt hps and One pound a plant is my average, the strain is White Shark and it is a good producer to begin with. Strain and technique has a lot to do with quantity for sure but when you start reaching the limit of your knowledge and equipment additives like voodoo can put over the top.

You know its doing something when you get dissaoointed with "its just a pound!"

I think you're living in a fantasy world with your assumptions. Certain companies have taken each part of the plant (leaves, roots, stems, flowers) and each part of the grow cycle and they want to sell you a product for it. What a lot of growers are quickly overlooking is how much work some breeders have put into their strains. If your genetics don't already possess vigor, yield, resin, and potency then no amount of bottles is going to fix that lackluster phenotype (or the grower's incompetence).

Then there are those who don't know any better who essentially keep these companies in business. Do you happen to know a professional grower? I mean someone who grows for a living and does so at a level where their average plant could be on the cover of High Times every month? Those people don't use cutesy, unneeded additives with colorful labels because they know that solid genetics, a good environment, and the essential elements is all that you need.

You're welcome to think and to spend your money in whatever fashion you'd like but there are plenty of other companies out there who cater to other hobbies who do the exact same thing (vitamins, automotive performance, reef tanks, athletic gear and nutrition, etc).

A botanist will remind you that providing essential elements in a correct ratio in a way that will be accessible to plants is more complicated than dumping nitrates, sulfites, phosphates, and other essential elemental compounds into the soil. Calling the teams of scientists who work for these companies a bunch of bullshit liars just out to take your money is a dick move. Where's your side-by-side homie? Without proof, you just sound like an angry old man ranting about "nutrient companies these days and their fancy bottles!" maybe if nutrient additives came in plain brown bottles you'd be more likely to use them?

Just because a company has a marketing department doesn't mean they sell snake oil. Cell phones are a total rip off too dude- a string connecting two cans will do the same thing :)

we have no proof that there are any teams of scientists, that the scientists are competent, or that they are doing good science
