microbeman states that humic acid, while a good soil amendment. has no place in tea. and even slows down microbial reproduction.

it seems to me that humic acid is a readily available substance, and doesn't need to be broken down. it can just be mixed in or applied since it is a product of composting/decomposition. i can't comment on whether or not it inhibits bacterial growth. i can't see it helping tho, as it's not really a food source.

I usually recommend brewing a balanced ACT whether in vegetative or flower/fruit stage. The microorganisms needed by the soil/plant at the time should remain active and others will seek dormancy.
Molasses will feed both bacteria/archaea and fungi but fish hydrolysate is slightly better for fungal foodstock from my observations. Both of them feed both microbe groups.
The reasons one may wish to make a fungal dominant ACT is probably for disease suppression or for research if you believe [like I hypothesize] that there are varieties of dark septate endophytes extracted and grown in ACT if present in [vermi]compost which are a different type of mycorrhizal fungi.
The reason I do not advocate the use of humic acid in ACT is because both CT Guy and myself ran tests together and independently and observed that in a liquid, humic acid fed diddley squat..nada..nothing.
We were motivated to do this test because CT Guy added humic acid to one of my brews and I was startled to see poor results, when I was trying to show off my brewer to him.
This is not the be all and end all. It is just what I recommend and I am open to other microspocists' input.

So, I was reading in this other thread on this forum that cannabis doesn't like ecto mych's I'm not really sure if this is true or not, but there was a lot of detail in the report. I usually use an endo and ecto mych powder, tbh, I've had improved results with adding it to not just soil but also water when I was doing DWC. has anyone ever heard about ecto mych's being bad/counterproductive for cannabis?

the botanicare rep told me that once. i buy 20# bags of ultra fine endo from down to earth. they also carry a product with ecto in it but i havent tried it.

So I topped for 4 and I took clones and I anchored down the 2 top growths. Thing is I kinda broke one of the growing tops off @ the base. Not all the way off I would say half way. I stood it back up and taped it down. Will it repair itself? Thanks for the advice in advance!

Wappa has been flowering for 10 days, so i thought i would give her her wax job.......my theory being...i want 100% of the root mass feeding only 70% of the above ground growth, i also want to limit my popcorn bud, and grow fat-ass colas....i believe, in my 20 gal. smarties....this is the way to go....this is where the canopy ring shines, the whole canopy can be shaped and secured in a few minutes with soft ties, and a few flicks of the wrist....you can see she still has a wonderful spacious, well supported canopy left to grow some big donkey dicks......she also was top-dressed with nutes, and then top dressed with super soil on top of that to fill her smartie back up that settled in the last month....she is primed, and ready to fucking explode......and i get to drink some juice!...how bout that!.....

...beautiful Main-Lined Qrazy Train almost ready for her trim.....
...and good foam after 10 hours with my new perculator......(i know KK42...foam don't matter
...but wanted to see my new perk system make some....kind of like not seeing a Myco web in your Super Soil..you know its in there, but is nice to actually see it......

everything is lookin great brother! love the canopy ring and spreading out those ladies evenly. you employ simply, no none-sense techniques that work. i am regretting not going all the way and using the rings. next time....

right!? so now u can equate it to super soil, if someone says add 10#s gypsum per yard or 20# of cal phos per yard
