PLEASE HELP... theres something wrong with my baby!

Hi Guys and Girls,

Please take a look at the pics and tell me whats wrong with my baby (i call him Maximus). the first set of true leave are dying - browning started at the edges and is working its way in... new leaves are fine.

I figure it cant be chem burn cause its only the old leaves... new ones are healthy (although i think i may have put a little bit too much miracle grow in)
Also the same goes for whiteflies... surely they would eat any leaf they found (even though i saw one of the little b*stards flying around in there which i killed and then sprayed the plant with mild insecticide)
could it be a nitrogen deficiency? I have been using mineral water which could be affecting absorption? Should i stop miracle grow and buy more specific chems?IMG_0120.jpgIMG_0121.jpg

Which miracle gro you using? Most serious grow stay
a way from miracle gro this is most likely your problem
It's needs a bigger pot too but this is pointless if you're
trying to grow with Miracle Gro.............

For sure No N deff,plants way too green.Did you possibly spill water on it when you watered or get those leaves Wet? I also do not like the MG,or the Chemical fertilizers.Fish Emulsion,Worm Castings are good for Vegging,Bat Guano and BigBloom from Foxfarms for Flower makes some tasty smoke and alot better for You.

yes i think its likely that those leaves got wet when i watered - do you think its the miracle grow in the water that has burned them? I will try your recommended fertilisers next time - for now though i dont want to re-pot so will continue with liquid chems - is MG crap? should i be using something else?

Also the pot i am using is very big - the pic is misleading - the white bottom on the photo covers the soil to stop to much evaporation.

Like Ghetto said, which MG are you using? IF you got those wet then yes very much so,was the problem.Most MG has either the Amon.Nitorogen or times release in it and you wont be growing long enough for all of it to be gone at harvest.Why no amount of flushing will ever get your stuff to taste clean.Yrs ago i tried it my first grow and when i smoked it was good but taste horrible with a spark and a pop sometimes,NOT kidding.Get soil tht is made to grow M/J,Theres several i just prefer Fox Farms Ocean Floor,it organic with the FE and BG in it and needs no nutes for a month pretty hot tho.
