My method is as follows:
I filter about 4 gallons of water through my smallboy water filter, into a bucket.
Sometimes i add VERY mild seedling nutes (like some Vitamin B1, or ThriveAlive, etc).
Let it sit at room temperature, PH it to 5.5-5.7, then soak rockwool cubes for at least an hour.
Then i simply push each seed about 1/8" (or the length of the seed) down into the cube, and cover it.
Put all the cubes in a tray, and under a fluorescent fixture. They pop within 3-7 days.

The reason i dont use the paper towel method or anything is because i would have no way of planting
them into my rockwool cubes once they already have roots. It would break the root off if i tried doing that.
So since i use rockwool cubes that go into my buckets full of hydroton, i just root the seeds in the cubes.

PS. You'll have to let me know what you think of the Pineapple Express, as well as the Super Lemon Haze.
I was considering ordering the Super Lemon Haze, cuz its won awards etc, but not a big fan of the lemon smell.
Do you grow hydro or soil? Im assuming soil since you germ your seeds prior to planting..

Im a aero/dwc guy. No dirt for me. After the seeds pop there tap roots I put them in a moist rapid rooter plug and set them in my stinkbud style aero cloner with a timer (10 seconds on, 6 hours off). From there I can put them in any medium. I grew slh before and some patients preferred that over the indica that I grew wich was dna's og kush #18. Once these little girls start to grow so that I can take some cuttings I'll start a journal 2l hempy style.

Sky Rocket -- I built a home-made "Aeroflo" style full aeroponic grow system that im not using..
Would you be interested in it? Its a full system, able to grow all the way from veg through bloom.
Its perfect for SCROG, but also is great for just letting them grow themselves out (like i did).
The reason i dont need it anymore is because it puts me WAY over my numbers..
I got busted while my card was expired, and the judge was lenient enough to allow me to keep growing.
However, i MUST stay within my limits. So the ebb system ive got going is all i can do, and the system im
talking about selling would put me way over. Its 3 rows 8ft long 5"x5" square white hollow posts,
with a manifold at one end that pumps water through lines on each row and runs to a aeroponic spinner head
in-between each plant. Each row has about 10 or so 3" holes cut for netpots. Its a great system.
The commercial Aeroflo that GH sells starts at over a grand and goes up to like 3 grand or something crazy.
I would be willing to sell mine that i built almost exactly the same as theirs, for around $450. Let me know!

I appreciate the offer but I have 4 aero units (stinkbud style). Three of them holds 10 plants each and one holds 6. As of now I'm going to try the 2l hempy grow for my limited space. As of now I'm trying to grow some moms before I start because I need to take about 100 to 130 cuttings.

Nice set-up, im also growing the G13 haze and they should be pretty close in age with yours, it'll be cool to compare. . . . . Looking Good so far!

Blaze23 - Yeah for sure man we'll have to compare as they move along.. I was about to order some Headband, but ended up getting these others, so ill be watching to see how your Headband does too. You'll have to let me know how you like it.

Thanks again everyone for checking out the grow.
They're actually growing quite fast, especially with the CO2 on! They've got like 3 sets of leafs now!
Although theres a couple that are behind, so they're a bit smaller. I'll take more pictures soon.

Dont forget to subscribe!

Installed "Sun-Shield" reflector-covers recently!
They look great, and perform great as well!

They're supposed to keep any and all heat from radiating out from the top and sides of your reflector,
thus allowing more of the heat to be drawn out by your air-cooling fans, making them more efficient at cooling.
It also eliminates heat signatures from your room, just in case someone is watching with IR :-P
Anyway, check em out! Here are some pics!

SunShield1.JPG SunShield2.JPG SunShield3.JPG

SunShield4.JPG SunShield5.JPG SunShield6.JPG

They fit very snugly, and they're available to spec for your reflector of choice.
So regardless of what reflector you own, they SHOULD have one for your model available.
I noticed a couple degrees cooler temperature in the room since installing them.. Great buy.
However it was kind of a pain in the ass when i installed them, because i had to completely
unhook all of my air ducts, as well as my light socket/ballast cord, and then slip them through
the openings in the covers and re-hook everything back up. But once thats done, its a great product.
Tell me what you guys think!

I already (had) 2x 8-inch duct fans cooling my lights (pulling air from the lights and exhausting it),
but i just recently installed 2x more 8inch duct fans (pushing air into my lights)!
So now i have 4x fans total, cooling 4 lights - (1 fan on both ends, 2x cooling 2 lights, 2x cooling the other 2 lights)
Here are some pics of the 2 new fans, on the "pushing air through the lights" side of the system.

LightFans1.JPG LightFans2.JPG

I noticed a slight temperature drop of 1-2 degrees since adding these additional fans.
I decided to buy them to increase cooling efficiency, and go along with my SunShield reflector-covers.
So now my cooling system looks like this:

~~~[8" FAN]~~~>[LIGHT]~~~>[LIGHT]~~~>[8" FAN]~~~>[OUTSIDE]
~~~[8" FAN]~~~>[LIGHT]~~~>[LIGHT]~~~>[8" FAN]~~~>[OUTSIDE]

Of course, all of the fans are outside of the room.
With the 2 new fans, as well as the sunshield ref covers, the cooling efficiency has increased ALOT.
Probably about a 4 degree drop in room temps when all is said and done.

Took some better pictures of alot of stuff today. Heres some of it..
More pictures of the outside of my room, CO2 tank & regulator, and 18w commercial-grade air pump.
By the way, i LOVE this airpump. with an 8" airdisc, its great. It rumbles so much i had to put a piece of wood under it haha.

As promised, heres an update of the plant pictures!
They're growing very rapidly with the CO2 they're getting.
Right now i have it set at 750-1350 ppm. Once they're bigger ill up it to 1500 ppm.
Also, as you can see, some of the plants are further along than others.
This is because some sprouted sooner, so some of them have been in the room longer.

Dont blink! More to come very soon..
They're growin fast so im sure ill be posting pictures again soon once they grow a bit more.
Thanks again for everybodys support, and i look forward to seeing what everyone thinks as things progress.

ya those airpumps realy push some air i hook mine to 1 airstone no more mixing nutrient solution realy churns up the water in a 50 gal rez

Yep. With the 8" air-disc it bubbles pretty damn hard.
But as far as mixing nutrient solution, i still mix it by hand. Or specifically, by drill.
I have a paint-mixer type attachment for my drill that i use, it works wonders.

I am watching your g13 haze very closely. I had a mishap with some plant tags falling off of a couple of my seeds. Now I have a couple of seedlings that are either g13 haze, blue hash, or pineapple express, and possibly berry bomb. I'm hoping to compare leaf structure and formation to your and verify/rule out that one of them is g13. Not an exact science but it's all I have at this point.

upinthemguts - Ive been in that same situation before haha, i think everyone has been at some point. that sucks.. But anyway, subscribe to this thread and i will try to take some close-up pictures of the leafs on the g13xhaze for you and post them sometime soon so you can try to compare. They are fairly wide/short leaf pedals. ill post pics soon.

proooceder - Thanks :-o I have Air-Cooled hoods and an A/C because im running whats referred to as a "Closed-Room" setup, and im running CO2.. Because of this, i do not have any intake or exhaust fans. However, the air-cooled hoods and a/c keep my growroom at about 76 degrees f, so in fact it IS able to cool the room ;)

UPDATE ! :
Just picked up an EcoPlus 1/10 hp Water Chiller!
My reservoir temps were about 72-73, which is too warm in my opinion.
So i plan on installing the chiller today, and lowering the temps to around 66-68.

I'll take pictures as soon as im done installing it!
I'll also take some updated pictures of the plants and post them up!

PS. A couple of the plants didn't respond well to the transition to the main grow room,
so im watching them to see how they do, and if they don't start improving soon ill be replacing them.
I have 1x White Widow and 1x Pineapple Express seeds on standby, so we'll see what happens.
