Second Grow from seed - Skywalker OG Kush, Blue Widow, LSD, & Tangerine Dream

Second Grow in DWC: this isn't my ideal setup as I have learned a lot from my first grow. I will eventually slide over to a under current DWC. One centrally located Nutrient Supply tank and reservoirs for plant nutrient uptake.

Anyways - back to the grow at hand: Roughly at about 2 weeks - hand fed/watering in 16oz solo cups with coco coir and root riot starter cubes. I have 4 of the 5 in their permanent 5gal DWC bucket homes.

Here is an update of the setup and pics of the different strains. - Just gave them another hand feeding of nutrients to help get them along. Feel free to give any feedback, etc.

Nutrients/Misc: AN Grow A/B
Voodoo Juice
Roots Excelurator
Cal/Mag
My own RO Water
PH: 5.5~5.8
REZ Temp: 68-70
500 Watt Badass MH Bulb - 3 settings - 500watt / 750watt/ 1,000watt
8in Melon Head Reflector with cool tube / AC Cooled


Started Germination in root riot starter cubes soaked in ph'd RO water at 5.6. Set them under a humidity dome and heating mat. Roughly 48hrs later and they have a nice tap root. I then transplant the starter cubes in a 16oz solo cup with coco coir as a medium as seen in the pictures below. After the roots of the plant in the solo cup get towards the bottom of the cup, I then take the coco coir/starter cube/plant - and take it out of the solo cup in one piece. I then transplant them into their final resting home inside the netpot with hydroten clay. I will start them under the 500watt mh and feed them water only for the first few days after transplant. Around day 6 I will start introducing a small dosage of voodoo juice & roots excelurator and a little AN Grow A/B nutrients.

Temps with lights on: 72-76 RH: 48%
Temps with lights off: 66-69 RH: 55%

Subbed this seems really intresting cant wait to see the blue widow and skywalker ive always been interested in it. I have to say i really envy your grow space wish i had room for a closet or tent of that size.

Well it's only been 3 days since the last update. I usually do a couple a week during veg & flower. All plants besides the latest Blue Widow have roots out of the net pots!

I will transplant the Blue Widow in a couple days max into it's new 5gal dwc bucket.

I plan on topping all plants during the last day of veg before the 12/12 flip to get 2 main colas on each plant and to mitigate the stretch as well.

I pushed these plants a little on the nutrient PPM since they were germinated - like I stated in a few posts - I feed with very light (200ppm) during the first few days - then went to 600-700ppm feedings since and now topped out at around 800-1000ppm. I am right around 2.5 weeks of veg growth right now. I will let these go for another 2 weeks to give the Skywalker a chance to catch up a little - then it's the flip and 12/12 here on out!

Picked up some new gear while I was out: Illadelph pipe and a Pulsar 7 vaporizer.

<--this is a badass pipe - has a nice big hollow body and a innovative glass screen/diffuser as the "bowl".

<--little portable (driving during the day) "Pulsar 7" vaporizer - have it charging right now - will post a smoke review on it. I have on order the Atmos RAW - it is a little nicer in my opinion - didn't notice it till after I picked up the Pulsar 7.

little update: I just fimm'ed all plants in the dwc excpet the blue widow (week or so) and i will fimm it as well. I plan on putting the Blue Widow in it's final home when lights come back on later tonight. I will post a small update with all plants in their final dwc buckets & fresh nutes. About another 2 weeks of veg and then the 12/12 flip!

~Week #3 of Veg~

Well I just finished changing out fresh nutes for all the plants. I finally transplanted the Blue Widow (I foliar fed all plants this morning - forgot about the smaller Blue Widow) - I think I burnt it a little - it should be alright - just a wee pissed off!~ hahah.


Here we are right at week 3 of veg on the larger plants and about 1.5 weeks on the Blue Widow. I attempted to FIMM them yesterday - will see how it all turns out after a few days of growth. I will then top it before I do the 12/12 flip. I want to get about 4 tops or so a plant and keep it shorter that way it won't stretch as much during flower.

Nice selection, ive got some lsd and blue venom and the lsd is not doing as good as the bv, the ph level is @5.8 - 6 should i change the ph

I started the 12/12 flip today......Changed out MH to HPS from here on out. Have the nutes and buckets all changed out as well. Using Sensi Bloom A/B (ph/ppm perfect " " formula) and other additives.

I will post another update later with pics so you can see how nice they responded to fimming!

Today I started the 1st day of 12/12! This is where the grow is most interesting....looking forward to a good healthy crop .



I did a rez change out last night and started the flowering nutes. I changed out the MH and put in my HPS - I am feeding right around 1,000 ppm right now will slowly increase. Enjoy the pics - they ALL responded well to fimming -

update: I had a slight interruption during my "lights" on period. My HPS light burnt out!! So my light went off by the time I got up at around 8 this morning. They are to go off at noon as that is the light cycle I have it on. So they have been in the dark longer than there normal "dark" period by approximately 16+ hours. I hope this doesn't stress them out this early on in flowering. I have a new HPS bulb in now - and the light is currently ON and the timer is still in auto mode in the right light cycle rotation.

I will post an update next week during rez change out.

Time for an update: starting on 2nd week nutrients now - after rez. change out last night. PPM running around 1000-1100 ph 5.6ish. Everything seems to be doing pretty well. Moving right along - the stretch was reduced a lot by fimming them while in veg.

Thanks supdro! Today is the last day of Week 2 - Rez Clean and Nute change out - ready for start of Week 3 - should start to really gear up towards producing some killer bud sites! The Skywalker OG and Blue Widow are a little behind the 2x LSD and 1x Tangerine Dream.

I wrapped the dwc buckets with insulation sticky back foil - picked it up at home depot or lowes can't remember right off hand which one.

what was the yield like? I hear is VERY good, i have smoked it before and was WOW"d at the taste and power of it...i tripped out driving my Rc car with a sock stuck on it and making my cats chase it hahaha was a fun day!

I got about 3 to 4 zips off of 1 lsd if I remember correctly. The taste and potency of LSD is a great smoke! Very trippy high!

Flower Week #3 - "flower day 15" -

Things are moving along pretty well - starting to see some good bud development. I just changed out the rez and have added fresh nutes. They should really start to focus on bud growth from here on out. I am feeding them pretty heavy this feeding. I plan on just adding back plain RO water as the week goes on and the plants consume more.

I picked up some XXX OG and some MARS OG along with some Pure Gold! What a nice line up! Good Ol' Indica!
