Can someone tell me how much power I can pump through this shed. It has this box in it..

I read online that you do amps x volts = watts so that would mean at 120 v I can run 12,000 watts, is my math wrong?
Im not positive, but I believe to be safe it is 1-1000watt ballast per 20amp fuse. Someone correct me if Im wrong.

Need to look at amps not watts

How many amps are you running per line, etc.

80% max load per breaker, so looks like you have 15 usable amps per breaker (both of them being 20/20 split breakers) now you have a total of 60a to work with. Look at the appliances you have attached to each breaker. subtract those given amps and then account in your grow amperage.

If you pull that cover, I bet there is another open breaker.

I would run a dedicated 30a/220v 14-12g line and breaker, run it directly to your grow area and use it for your lights. It will make your use of the A/C much easier on your system, plus leaves you with room for expand ability at a minimal cost (plus the safety of it)

edit:

looks like a sub panel, check the amperage at the main panel/breaker too

bro, you have plenty of space to add breakers in your sub panel, you have 100A running to her......as far as what size breaker to run your 1K's off of....i am sure geekmike can steer you in the right direction......i run my 2 600's of a 20A 220.

wow, Bud! you got pleanty of space there.

Pop in a 220 30a and run some new wire and a 220 outlet from that sub box. Use that bitch for your lights only, then you wont have to worry about anything.

You can easily run 4k on a 30a/220v, I'm not a fan of the dual breakers (20/20) because you have more than enough room to have single breakers in there but they will work. With those you only have 20a/220v available to work with, with minimal changes.

How far from your sub box is your grow area?

TBH, if you just wrote down the amps of everything used and labeled where they were plugged into... you can probably run 2k w/ AC just on what you got. But, like I said... depends on what else is tied into the circuit.

The sub box is on the wall inside the shed I want to use. There's nothing else that I know of that is tied into that circuit except for some porch lights that rarely get turned on.

should be good for 1k or an a/c and fans per 20a with no issues.

I run 40a/220 and 40a/120 to my rooms with more than enough to spare.

I'd be cozy with a 2k setup there plus a/c, dehum, fans, extractor, etc. plus some T5's here and there for clones/veg.
