but you're so good at hearing code too!
I thought about arguing the "profiled" point, but, as I said earlier, I don't want to rehash the Trayvon thread. Bump it if you want to argue some more about it.

Let's get back to the original topic of the thread.

Maybe I will play along. Right now I have to meet my daughter at a house she is thinking of buying.

Canndo, if you object to the threadjack you need to say something.

it was just as funny to read canndo repeatedly remind you guys that this thread was a game,

as it was finding out about this legislation.

anyway. it poses so many complications it makes my head hurt

i just want to throw this out there. say this creep really wants nothing more than to make this really gorgeous girl pregnant, but she wants nothing to do with him

well, bam, raped, now she's stuck with his child and he got what he wanted.

that is so fucked up.

also, the children born of these enforced pregnancies are going to be extremely difficult for the mother to raise in most cases. i mean, there is a point to the whole mating ritual of dating and finding someone you're compatible with

it's so your kid doesn't turn out to be a complete fucking basket case and ruin the parent(s) life

my parents loved each other but never really got along well. you know, like friends do.

so my house was full of arguing my entire life, and it feels embedded in me.

i can't imagine how terrible it would be growing up under the shadow of a rape.

IN 31 states the rapist can sue for parental rights and win

holly shit, thats insane . . .
You see, nine months after my rape, I gave birth to a beautiful little girl. You could say she was conceived in rape; she was. But she is also so much more than her beginnings. I blissfully believed that after I finally had decided to give birth to and to raise my daughter, life would be all roses and endless days at the playground. I was wrong again.
It would not be long before I would learn firsthand that in the vast majority of states -- 31 -- men who father through rape are able to assert the same custody and visitation rights to their children that other fathers enjoy. When no law prohibits a rapist from exercising these rights, a woman may feel forced to bargain away her legal rights to a criminal trial in exchange for the rapist dropping the bid to have access to her child.
Opinion: Wake up, it's not just Akin
When faced with the choice between a lifetime tethered to her rapist or meaningful legal redress, the answer may be easy, but it is not painless. For the sake of her child, the woman will sacrifice her need to see her once immensely powerful perpetrator humbled by the court.
I know it because I lived it. I went to law school to learn how to stop it.
Having fought this injustice for the past several years, I have come to believe that ignorance is to blame for this legal absence. Opponents argue no woman would ever choose to raise the child she conceived through rape. The only two studies to analyze the choices made by pregnant raped women indicate otherwise -- at least 30% of women who conceive by rape make this choice.

A personhood bill has passed both houses and been signed by President Romney.

Now what?

What happens? How does it work? Are doctors put in jail? Mothers? Are abortion methods that prevent fertilized ovum from attaching to the uterus now illegal? Some one give us a scenario and then I will.

Isnt this comparable to saying "If Obama wins election he will take away all your guns?".

There is a problem with your thesis, though. You predict doom and gloom if abortion is made illegal. It wasn't all that long ago that abortion WAS illegal and society managed to scrape along...

Let's be careful. There is a difference between making the performance of an abortion illegal and making a fertilized egg a person. The one, we have seen results in back alley abortions for the poor, and flights to more lenient countries for the rich. There would not need to be pregnancy registries for moms, the simple act of abortion being illegal would be sufficient. At that point we would not see the erection of a new welfare class because zygotes are still not people until they are born.

NL claims that the welfare class would remain the same only larger - he is wrong, there would be a new orphan class, completely cared for until age 18 by the state. Nothing similar exists now.

I am agreeing with you about crime correaltion with unwanted children. I can't see that as having anything to do with color and everything to do with culture.

I object to the thread jack. I had thought that this was a far more interesting subject than racisim and something that I had never seen anywhere before. UB? I would have thought you would be as interested.

It's a GAME Althor,, a GAME, a "what if", if you want to do a "what if Obama takes our guns" great, I'll join in, but this is the results of personhood made law.

Well canndo it looks like you're not the only one that has to make up hypothetical arguments to miss lead people into believing things that isn't true.
