This would be the shit IMO! We could have anywhere between 2-5 'hosts' over a skype connection. We could talk about anything cannabis related, popular culture, politics, religion, science, all the stuff we all talk about here. We could have podcast guests who could also be other members. Anyone with a webcam, mic and skype account could join in.

Who would watch/listen to something like this?

1-2 hour episodes

regular hosts with regular special guests

Also anything anyone would like to add?

This is a great idea, I would watch. It sounds similar to Joe Rogan's podcast. We have tried a newsletter which fizzled out fast so I am not sure who would be the one to head this up. There would have to a ton of planning and a few people working on this so it was done properly. Have you run this past Rollitup (admin) to see his thoughts on this?

I'm in. I'm a good writer so if you need articles/script... I can help out with content related to popular culture, religion, animal care, cooking and anything to do with weed minus making BHO, wax or indoor growing.

I was thinking very similar to the Joe Rogan Podcast - http://joerogan.net/

I especially like the format they use, it's become very professional, Redban doesn't get enough credit for all the work he puts into it

You're right about the planning, it would take a bit of work each episode, to get ideas for topics and to keep things new and interesting. The thing about the Rogan podcast is that he's got somebody new on just about every show so there's always something new and interesting to hear because they're usually somebody pretty famous, I think if we started it right now we'd get a few episodes out and then just fall flat with no more ideas or things to talk about, so there would need to be something to fill in that void.. Q & A, different growing techniques, different strain reviews. Even stuff not related to smoking or growing at all. I'm open to suggestions! I think this could turn into something really fun if we got a few dedicated people on board with a decent sized audience.

there should be no script in podcasts, its just general conversation over topics that are non political ect

I would be interested in watching, not sure how I could possibly help in any way, shape, or form though. That is to say I am willing to help I just don't have any resources are useful skills. (for this type of thing)

I've never cast a pod. cn

Start out with podcast 257, man! One for the record books!

If you're not a fan of Immortal Technique (I wouldn't suspect you would be) he is the shit, dude! He's a political rapper, most of his songs have something to do with something political. For one of my favs, check this out;

The music will probably be hard to get used to (considering your generation), but the lyrics are genius. Dude's whole philosophy about... everything, is admirable.

Now, imagine an RIU podcast in a similar fashion, do you think that would be something interesting? Fun to watch?

I've only seen Immortal Technique lyrics as sigs here (Neo had one for a while) and I was put off by the classic rapper's defect ... rhymes that didn't. I'm bugged by almostrhymes. cn

lol, while I'm sympathetic to your sentiment, as I feel the same way about certain rappers, I heed you to reconsider and give that podcast at least enough time for you to finish a meal! I feel you will change your mind after you hear the guy talk about a few things! (don't blame me later for your new obsession!) lol
