fresh into soil need help

Quick question my seeds germed fine then I transplanted them to Dixie cups they began growing upward but the seed shell hasn't shed yet and its been around 4 or 5 days shouldn't this have happened already its 9 of 12 plants and I killed one trying to help it get the shell off so I really would rather not pull it off again lol. Any solutions or advice is appreciated

I have em outside and here in Texas it dries up quick

Hint: keep the cup covered with plastic till the shell falls off you want keep moist ~
