So this dude is selling Herb with Powdery Mildew to Patients

I know a guy who lost his whole crop to PM (shady grower friend of a good friend). It was caked on pretty well. He did the jorge cervantes tip of washing it in a bath of H202 and water and then dried it, cured it. Looks extra "frosty". He has been selling it at the last 3 Marijuana farmers markets for $225z.

He had 4lbs to unload.

Apparently it smokes well, gets you high as hell but of course, it had powdery mildew and the buds look almost white.

I think the guy is a piece of crap for selling it to patients and then I think at the same time, just imagine the shit that is all over the mexican ditchweed that comes over the border by the ton.

So i told my guy to tell him he shouldn't be selling that to people that smoke and if he absolutely refuses to ditch it to at least make it into edibles because spores won't be getting into anyones airways. He said that since he washed it in Peroxide the actual harmful sppores are gone but the white color will always be there but it's harmless.


What say you folks?

Iv'e had a grower do that to me.....

And then expected me to pay for the garbage.

And it did not even smoke good or get you high as was stated to me.

That's some pretty fucked up shit. Too many people after the money these days, and not enough caring about helping patients. I woulda fronted him out in front of everyone.

I took pictures of the shit,and got trich shots that show all clear trichs!!!!

That's one of the problems in this game. People selling their moldy/bug infested product so they don't lose out.

It's supposed to be for medicinal use and I don't think inhaling smoke laden with PM is gonna help your ailment. Even if it was washed, it still had pm at one point and if it's caked on the buds that thick I doubt it all got sterilized.

Stand by his area at the Farmer's Market and tell the patients to really check out the bud, it had PM...He'll get no business. Fuck him, he deserves that.

I am a med grower and would never subject any patient to that. Medical growers need to hold themselves to a higher level then the regular grower.
I am totally organic, use absolutly no pesticides, and don't even use oil sprays on my plants. I have had PM once in veg but caught it early and skim milk cured it.
I'm amazed by this asshole.

They purchase the product from another state, I don't get it! Most consumers purchase product after verifying the quality.

I have patients who inspect my product on every delivery, not because they don't trust me but because there well being relies on a clean, non-contaminated product.

I know if I was to try and provide the type of bud described in the OP to my patients and customers I would be out of the industry in a hurry. If the cutomers do not demand a higher quality then I see nothing wrong with him providing PM ladened buds.

This is the real world were talking about and people have choice (and sometimes too much of it), I'm sure no one would go into a super market or farmers market and buy fresh produce with signs on PM or any other fungus.

My plants i grew were fucking spectacular. Extremely high thc. very well grown except they got downy and powdery mildew. I threw it all away. That shit is bad lemme tell u. They had 1-2 weeks left to grow and one night I woke up and cut them down and threw them in the trash. the air in my house was sooo contaminated with mildew. My sinuses were all fucked up for so long and it only got worse and worse. i finally realized my plants got mold and thats why i couldnt fucking breathe. Shit is badddddd stuff. and they werent even covered in mold...I couldnt see any white on the plants. But i knew they were infected..again is could have been downy mold. but there definetly was pm in between the aluminum foil and the wall in the grow room. Ill never make those mistakes I made again!

100% agree unless he fully discloses what it was and the treatment. Then let people decide. Of course since I work in medicine I will always choose the least risk/most benefit for my patients. And myself.

Mildew and spores are nothing to joke around with. Inhaling these could makes someone very, very sick, especially if they have some underlying medical issue.

Selling that to anyone is reprehensible, but selling it to a medical patient is a crime.

I say i couldn't give a fuck. You guys want to charge what you call "patients" like $300 or whatnot an ounce, doesn't matter what the quality of the herb, yo're all greedy nobs haha. While it is generalising, the notion of "patients" and "medicine" largely seems to be a joke, the whole thing is about profit.

And as has been said, a the end of the day why is the patient not taking better precautions with what they are buying. Hardly difficult to carry a loup with you so you can inspect the visual quality, just as someone with a medical condition would check the ingredients on the back of a packet to know that it was good for them to eat.

that is deff not cool! no one wants to be smoking PM! if they do they should atleast know it is on the buds. what is the point of medical if there are no regulations? it is his problem for having to high of a humidity and getting powder mildew he should have to deal with it
