I find every bud counts on an autoflower. Not enough yeild to actually cut off any buds, not worth it imo.
lollop ping happens in beg when you can give the plant more time to grow and recover from the stress...autos have no veg period it is all pure flowering from day 1, so you wont give your plants enough time to recover.

The plant usually only grows 2 feet so no point.

lollipopping is the same as taking clone cause thats where the branches go,but i wouldn't try it on an auto because u can't reveg and the branches would amount to nothing.I do suggest lst tho

It stresses the plant to cut anything off a auto unless the leaf is dead.

There ARE Sativa dominate autos whose breeders suggest topping is necessary, due to Sativa influence. So with conventional Autos, NO it is not commonly recommended. Keep your eye out though cause there are large auto strains out there that require long flowering periods and get BIG. Stay Crunchy! Crunch!

I dont think lollipopping is a good idea, but you can take off very lowest side branches if it makes watering them a problem (i did this today, because the loest buds never get very big anyway and when i watered them the lower branches just drooped and lay on the soil plus teh watering can nozzle was just bending the branches...making it alot more stressful)
but no, complete lollipopping is not a good idea, only the lower branches if they are a problem for you.
I have topped one of my ULH (see the latest post in my sig) and she now has four main colas and is jut as tall as the ULH that has been untouched. In her case, i think that lollipopping could be beneficial because she will already have 4 main colas.
Dont cut ANY branches until the plant has reached a good height. If you are topping, i wouldnt do it past week 3. I topped at the 5th node at week 3!! If you are lollipopping, i wouldnt do it before the start of week 4, or after the end of week 4, generally speaking from my own experience with how fast mine have grown.

your supposed to get more main colas instead of just one, coz when u bend the plant over the side branches rise up aand reach the same height, in theory lol It works well if done properly. There are other ways of evening out the canopy though. LST is thought to be the least stressful method of doing it hence 'Low Stress Training' but im sure there are people out there who would disagree e.g. 808killaz had a La Diva grow, one of his LST girls turned hermie for a bit, but his topped girl harvested the most bud. I was supposed to do an LST but cant be arsed now. Ive been contemplating it but never got round to doioing it and chose to top one instead.

It's when you bend the plant gently and tie it down or tape I've done tape it works footage the Long leafs down to the pot so the side is exposed to light. I top then after the plant splits, I top on the third set of leafs and get Atleast five tops then lst tape it down for a couple days, good to go with a bunch of tops .

its as simple or as laborous as u like, its basically tying the plant down so the main stalk bends over, but u have to do it before the main stalk gets too strong or u could damage it (gradually from week 2-3 or something). The side branches of the plant are then all exposed to the light and grow out at the same height, theoretically, so u get more tops. Like i said there ar other ways of getting mroe tops that could be deemed equally as low stress, it just depends on your timing and execution of technique
