The most effective treatment, and one of the safest I've found is a bug spray where the active ingredient is Spinosad.

No prob...Get some spinosad, spray your plant up and down, making sure to get the undersides of the leaves too...repeat in 3-5 days to get eggs that may have hatched or stragglers...Usually after 2nd or 3rd application that is it, no more thrips.

i tried neem oil , not sure if i did it compleatly right, but i seemed to be working good enough, and if your trying to stay safe id give it a try, it might not be as effective as other sprays, i wouldn't know ive only ever tried neem oil , my plants were outdoors and it seemed as if the rain washed it away every other day so idk, vut id say its deff worth looking into,

I have neem oil but never use it.. I was gonna use it for aphids, but instead use two applications of FUNGICIDE 3 then just rinse out with water and no more aphids... I personally recommend it, you can pick it up at LOWES. Thanks for all the replys and happy growing.. tell me if I'm wrong, we take better care of or plants then our lady's!!!!

I believe fungicide 3 is neem oil...lol...Always check the active ingredients list...Spinosad isn't sold as "Spinosad", it's sold as various other products under multiple names. Look at the ingredients, ad there will be a place that says "Active Ingredients"...look for the one where the active ingredient is spinosad.

BTW, spinosad is very safe, I'd say as safe as neem at least.
