Auto 250w cfl Cupboard grow - 3x Ultra Lemon Haze

nah i havent got a fan controller, but if the lights are on they need to be going full whack anyways to cope with the temps. Its averaging 30oC with frequent highs of 32oC. Im gonna put the lights on 12/12 for the last couple of weeks of flower (once half the hairs are orange) because ive seen a few breeders suggest it makes the buds more compact. Its worth an experiment. Plus i can start my durban poison 12/12 from seed grow Im also concerned about the elec bill. Im getting a digital timer so i can vent the room once the lights turn off in the evening, for 1 minute every half hour up to 12 o'clock at night, and then leave the fans off till the lights come back in in the morning. This set up isnt ideal but the girls are hanging in there so im gonna be real happy if they give me an ounce each!

Last grow i didnt have fans or carbon filter lol all i had was a medium sized pot of ona gel by my door. Some days when id get home from work the whole house would smell like crushed garlic or something (coz the smell of skunk is trying to drown out the ona) but then i shook up my ona crystals again (they dry up on the surface during the day, u need to shake it a few times a day for it to work well). With the filter off during the night now, the gentle smell of lemon skunk creeps through the air lol its nice and its not too strong because ive noticed the smell is worse when the lights are on and the plants are sweating. By the time i wake up, the filter has scrubbed all the air in my room, which is amazing coz its only 4" but it cleans my whole room in an hour Ill see how smells at night get during flower, but worse comes to worse ill jus pick up another $20 pot of Ona to open up at night. Thanks for the heads up though we deff dont want my neighbours to smell this! Well, i might have to pack this grow in anyways, i think im splittin up with my girlfriend and she knows im growin....and i know how crrazy women can be so i dont feel like ill be safe with this grow carrying on unfortunately. But fuck it, better be happy than be in a relationship your not sure with. Ill know by the end of the week but things aint looking to good at the mo

nah u cant delay something like that for that reason lol maybe if we wernt gonna talk to each other for a month, but a final talk is imminent, so could be any day now. we shall see!

day 31

- well still no signs of flowers, so its getting tense, damn they stink in there There are loads of little notches appearing on the nodes that i thought were flowers yesterday, but they havent really developed much since then so im guessing they are not really flowers.
- damage from heat stress has been reduced now that my fan is not blowing from side to side directly onto the plants, ive raised it up so it blows air above the plants and doesnt cause any branches to move anymore, i think this has helped them deal with the heat better.
- THEY ARE GETTING BIG :O i dont really want them to get much bigger :/ they are already bigger than last time and only half way through, i guess those smart pots are doing their job lol gonna change my 3gal to 2 gal for next time
- next update will be when flowers have shown *wipes sweat off forehead*

This is the smallest of my girls, but im wondering if it was coz she was the closest to the deskfan? She was blown around quite a bit and may have had to persperate faster and use nutes for strengthening stems rather than grow vertical :/ i dunno if wind would make this much of a difference

this is prob my favourite, coz she has been left to do her thing and she just looks like a beast at the mo

this is the topped girl, she has loads of side branching going on from the main 4 colas now.

day 32

- i know i said the next update would be when they flower but i just couldnt resist.
- i fed just 5 drops of pk 13/14 per gallon today (extremely diluted), just for a little push into flowering perhaps. No more of that till buds start filling up (its pure P and K)
- also fed some mollases, and the last installment of root funghi
- Im not gonna feed nitrogen now for a couple weeks at least, so they slow down vertical growth

before and after watering lol they always droop afterwards for an hour or so hehe

Thanks man, thats a nice grow you got yourself ill be chekcing up on that as the berry ryder i think is quite unheard of. Good luck with your ULH, just be aware that they can get very tall, well i think my tallest is now 1.5-2 foot or so, and not got flowers yet so i might have to do some tying down. I cant wait for these girls to flower ive got a good feeling about them. The bud/flower ratio is crazy, the buds swell up like rock hard nuggets last time

Day 36

- still no pistils
- those 'notches' at the nodes are gettin more frequent. They have tripped me out coz normally when i plant shows pistils they just pop up like over night but these 'notches' have been devloping for the last week or so now. Weird.
- The plants have not grown much at all since last friday, so i think they have reached their full height now pretty much
- there are two phenos here, two tall ones (one untouuched, and one topped) and a short one (untouched)
- growroom smells but no flowers.
- the heat stunted AKR has grown quite a bit now! since i raised it to the light, and took it out of any direct wind it has ACTUALLY GROWN lol and has preflowers at every node
- ill update with pics on thursday. Hopefully ill be able to show you some pubes

Nice grow low, I'm growing autos myself, I have 600 w Hps n 4x4 tent . I have 5 Trans sib 2 blue mammoth 1 Sad auto 1 sage and a mk ultra. All 22 days old and I have them 3 feet from lights .multiple fans (also 1 centricul fan)
When will the trans start flowering? also when should I stop feeding veg nutrients? Which flowering lighting schedule would you recommend? (Veg nutes sensi grow a&b)

Day 38

-waheyyyy it seems those notches were indeed the start of flowers, but its took ages for the conversion from veg to flower. Ive seen about 4 pistilss lol so still very early
- I would definately say that this strain is a SEMI AUTO because ive had the lights on 16.5/7.5 due to stealth issues, i couldnnt go the full 18/6. So this strain may still be good for an outdoor grow because it will flower wayyyyy before the end of good weather. Just not as early as pure autos.
- The vertical growth has stopped it seems, no growth for a whole week, just gettin more bushy
-Gonna try get another 125w on in there and see how the temperature fares, next week. As its gettin crowded and i need light area for a whole other side of the biggest female if i wanna pull a good yeild.
- Will try put pictures up in the morning if i have time, if not it wil have to be left till monday evening
- Gonna go straight to 12/12 flowering now, as they have got to a very big size already, PLUS im running out of time for my schedule. I wanna start my 'early misty' 12/12 from seed grow ASAP!!
- SO this strain auto'd under 16.5/7.5 light period, on week 5. I think that would make it a semi-auto. Would you? We will see how buds turn out......

These two guys are doin the trans siberian. I think they flower at like 3-4 weeks, but u should ask them.

You should feed weak veg nutrients, like 1/4 - 1/2 strength from week 2 up to about week 5 and then just go like 1/6 strength to week 7 and then just focus on bloom nutes.

Bloom nutes you should start at 1/6th strength at about week 4 or 5 and then work up to 1/2 strength by week 6 -7 or something. Thats what im doin and its working well so far, you will get told alot, to go easy on auto nutes, because they will never get as big as normal plants that the nutes are designed for. (Ive got autoflower bloom nutes from dutch passion which i guess are just diluted normal nutes lol but im using them 1/2 strength and going full strength by the 4th week of flowering). Its not really an exact science with me, im just experimenting and just keeping in mind not to over fert. You should do the 20/4 or 18/6 light schedule with the trans as its a full auto, as oppose to me ultra lemon haze, which is a semi-auto (breeder recommends 15/9 or 12/12 light schedule with the strain im doin)

Thanks man, it hasnt gone all to plan but hey, im only just starting out, and my situation aint good for growing so ive gotta just do what im able to.

Day 46 UPDATE

- i was away for last weekend and they went 4 days without water so when i got back they were all drooping right down. I watered them and they have recovered well, just lost a few fan leaves.
- They are starting to show a deficiency, i think its a metal deficiency, like Boron or something. So i think i can correct all trace elements with CalMag or a similar product right?
- When i said before that they had stopped vertical growth.....i was wrong. Over the last two days they have shot up once again and they were touching the light, and one of the ends from the topped plant had completely crisped up. So ive taken out all the shelving in the grow room and had to move loads of shit about so i can raise my reflector.
- The reflector is now raised to like 1.2 meters and i have added a 125w blue spectrum cfl. So there is 375w total. Im gonna keep my eye on temps.

so my conclusion at the moment for this strain = what the f***, they have growth sooo much. They are on 12/12 now because they took so long to show sex, i guess all the phenos i have are semi-auto. So i would not recommend this strain to an auto grower, maybe for outdoors but dont expect more than one harvest a year. On my last grow all my ULH auto'd, but im coming to the realisation now that it was a mistake, probably caused by my timer being overloaded/heat stress/overcrowding in pots that led to them starting to flower. Whereas on this grow, ive kept the growing environment pretty much perfect (except the first week was too hot) and none of them autod on 18/6 light schedule. Im not going to grow this strain again, its not really worth it, they have just grown and grown and I have had to constanly rearrange my growroom to fit them in. Im gonna carry on updating this grow every week or so until harvest. Im curious why auto seeds released this strain, and hopefully they will harvest some killer smoke. There must be something they are really proud of about this strain as this is the only strain they do that they say needs 15/9 or 12/12 to flower

Day 46

After some rearranging, they are no longer touching the lights. I had to take the top shelf out, so the wires are a mess now, but although it looks like a fire hazard, i think they are pretty safe. Just messy

This is the large and untouched ULH, she is a beast and going strong. The main cola is gonna be thick. The nodes are getting very tight.

This is the smallest and untouched ULH. She is getting a lighter green colour now, so i might try feeding some nitrogen. I am wondering wether it is a mineral deficiency, but ill feed some N tomorrow or sunday and if it doesnt help then ill get some product to correct it.

This is the difference in leaf colour between the topped ULH (dark green) and the small ULH. I hope its just an N deficiency, we wil see.

This is the topped ULH. Its hard to see here, but there are two tall colas, and two medium colas about 8" lower in the canopy. One of the top colas burnt on the light so i cut the stem there. This plant has got as tall as the tallest ULH, but it is alot bushier. The fan leaves are also very small in comparison, so light penetration might turn out to better. So even though i topped this plant, it started off with 4 main colas at the same height, but now there are two very tall colas and two medium height colas, after a few growth spurts, so its kinda annoying but hey, we will see what happens!

NOTES:

- THIS STRAIN IS A SEMI-AUTO. I have it on 12/12 now because it took so long to flower and im running out of patience/time to start my next grow!!
- It has grown alot once again, it has growth spurts like twice a week they just go crazy.
- Flowering has been going for about a week now

nah not a big smell yet, there are no thc formation on the leaves yet, but i think by next week they will start to stink. I just fed 8ml of dutch pro autoflower bloom nutes yesterday for the first time at full strength (it says feed either 2 or 3 ml per litre so i went with the 2ml/L for now) I was just feeding 0.25ml per litre up to then because i have only been in flowering about a week and a half now. So they should start to take off now and get some frostyness going on, ill keep you updated! They have alot of vigour, they just keep on growing! Shame i had to go 12/12 with this semi-auto. Ive got 2 more beans left, so im gonna use them to make some femenized beans and ill put them outdoors in spring to see how they do outdoors. Ive got a feeling they could do really well outside under the sun. I wouldnt germ a ULH with other autos, because it probably wont auto at the same time as them, they get pretty big and will just tkae up alot of room lol thanks for following have a look at these pics, ive got alot of bud sites popping up

Day 49 of my 'Semi' Auto Ultra lemon haze (now on 12/12 and 375w cfl)

- I fed 1/2 strength veg feed yesterday, coz i noticed some yellowing on the leaves.It seems to be working already!
- Ive now started full strength bloom nutes, but these nutes are designed for auto's, so really they are probably just diluted or something :/ i have no idea. Called 'Dutch Pro autoflowering bloom A+B'
- They keep frikin stretching
- Added a 125w blue/white bulb. So now running at 375 watts with two different spectrums for now. Gonna push to 500w in 2-3 weeks when i start adding the pk 13/14

Some group pics here (you can just see the tiny mutated/heat stunted AKR at the bottom hehe). You can also notice the plant on the left, is the topped ULH, and it really shows the sativa genetics here. I think it has this structure because it was topped, because up to week 3, all the plants looked the same :/ I think topping has resulted in smaller 'fan leaves' (not true fan leaves because there is no longer a main stem!) and so this option could be good to allow more light penetration without trimming?
