Hoping to be able to start my first rounds next month - though I'm unsure where to purchase from and what strains to get for my first run. Hate to hijack this thread, but if anyone has any recommendations for strains and place to buy - I'd love a PM.

There is alot of steps involved in mushrooms but the deal is you need a pressure cooker and the more you spend the bigger the jar you can cook. Spend your money wisely I went over board spent 350 and and have not looked back. I bought a pressure cooker where I can do an insaine amount of quarts for the tall mason jars.2 quarts. Make sure your pressure cooker can go to 15 psi that is a must. Read and read some more when you think you have a grasp ask out for some of us and we can get you steered in the right direction. Just cannot be afraid to read.Its a fu hobby but information is education in this game so dont be skared

if you watched the video that he posted earlier you would see that h is going to try a method that does not involve a pressure cooker. though im a bit skeptical it seems to work so why not try it...

im sure it works fine if you do it right its really the exact same concept as a PC

basically you need a certain internal temp on the mason jars with the medium, PC or steamed as long as that goal is reached you should be fine

Any grain substrate will probably not work unless sterilized at 15 lbs of pressure for at least half an hour.
