What's wrong with this plant? too much light?

hey people this plants are starting to look kind of sick.... they are in their 3rd week of flowering and potted in 2 gal pots in FFOF soil.
they are under a 600watt HPS about 2 inches away because of the air cooled reflector being extracted by a 497CFM can-fan. they are watered every other day and the feeding schedule is Water-Water-Feed. canopy temp is at 78-80 f and the air temp is about 75-76F.

the top fan leaves are starting to curl up and they have this ugly brown spottings, and mild yellowing...

im thinking it might be a nute burn issue? do they need to be flushed? heat stress? (doubtful since the temps are not high)

hi there id say over feeding leaves are all bent up and necrotic could be salt build up i see the nutes in back
id back off them a lot and keep it simple if your in soil plants don't need so much food if you got good soil
ocean forest you can go more then a month or month and a half without feeding a good rule i stick too
always better to underfeed then over never follow req dosage on bottle stick to 1/4 to a max of 1/2
as i see a lot of problems brought on by over feeding

Never too much light maybe too close yeah the leaves look like extra crispy chicken can't see the real color cause of the light I would go with the 5 gallon pots of ffof this grow my seedling were 2 weeks old when I put'em in the ffof I watered once real good when transplanting into the ffof and fed 1 week later when they dried out using advance nutes fox farm's are shit I thought the ffof was the problem but it's their nute:) I use my own ppm chart lower doses the first two week then I go with their chart they have full doses from week one and on and they're lovin it! I do a weekly journal cause it took me 5 years to where I'm at and very many dollars i like pass the word~

what are temps............at canopy?
i have a thermometer probe right next to the top bud and its 79.9F so it is not hot lol,,, the power of the fan is able to extract pretty much all the heat from the bulb, i could literaly put my tongue in the glass and it would bother me

could it be the soil? the plants have been in that soil over a month and a half by now... how far should i place a 600W hps, if heat is not a problem and to maximize yield and light penetration in your opinion?.... maybe it is a salt buildup, problem is that leaves burled up like that over night.... i had noticed some spotting in the bottom leaves and i cut down on the nute dose

ur light is to close and to hot i bet you its ghotter then u think start topping and training your plants when there like 5 inches tall you will have an even canopy instead of a tall ass plant with one big nug looks like some traintrack weed when they grow like that

well its a little too late to train them now lol so im trying to make the best of this grow.. it is my first and i did make some rookie mistakes, but i dont think is too hot? i do have about 5 thermometers in the whole room and one of the probes is righ on the glass under the bulb

Actually 6-8 inches close @ the most ,but a foot away is good enough, light bleaching happens when you are getting more than 75w per square foot.
I just noticed the chart it seems correct,But i don't know about 6" away with my 400w (not cool tube) ventilation plays a key role though.
