Ewiggin requested some commentary on the building of the PVC screen so here it is!
The directions that deacmaster had included a bunch of 2" pieces of PVC to act as joints. Without the directions I didn't want to attempt that myself. There might be some advantage to his system that I don't see but mine seems to function just fine.*
The first problem I encountered was the size of the door being shorter in width than the inside of the box. You can see in the photo below that my screen is longer than the door.*
*I wanted a screen that would utilize every square inch of interior space as these boxes aren't huge. Given that the fully assembled screen is 10" tall I couldn't insert it through the door at an angle. It took me way too long to figure out that I should build the base and top screen separately and leave the 4 legs unsecured and unattached. That way I could insert the base at an angle and place it in the box. Then stick the 4 legs on it. Then insert the top screen at an angle and attach. The other advantage of unsecured legs is that I can use different length legs to lower or raise the screen if I want. This is especially helpful in a box that doesn't allow for the lights to be lowered. Different strains will need varying amounts of room and I know you mentioned that you want to try different strains.
I positioned the legs differently than deacmaster because this screen is for the Producer. I moved them inwards to make room to work in the front corners of the box.*
After all my planning, thinking and measuring I did make a mistake that I might correct after this grow. One of my legs is partially blocking the intake fan.*
Every time I look at it I get irritated. If it bugs me enough I'm going to build a new one. If I do that I will do a full step-by-step video with measurements of everything for all the Producer growers who might be interested in scrogging their box.*
