My First Grow LED AutoFlower

Hey everyone... I have been reading these forums for months now trying to gain as much knowledge as I can to grow... I finally decided to start my own grow. I am growing 2 different strains just 1 plant each. A Northern Lights Auto from Nirvana Seeds, and an Auto Lemon. Each plant has its own 90w LED UFO and I also have some 14w 400-600 spectrum panels that I really do not think are making a difference but they are there. I am running straight organic dirt in a 3 gal smart pot mixed with a little castings... I am using Botanicare Pure Blend PRO GROW 1/2 strength during veg and Snow Storm Ultra 1/2 strength during flower. I have chosen autoflowers because I am very new to this and I am still having troubles grasping the nutrient aspect of the grow. By what I have read and seen so far with my plants, is that they are extremely hardy. They also grow VERY fast and harvest is a lot sooner 60-90 days from seed. Even though, because of the size of plant, quantity is lower than a photo period plant. 14g-100grams per plant depending on strain. I am starting this thread so people are able to both learn something about autoflowers and I can get some pointers about growing myself. If you have a negative comment that is not intended to help or inform, please keep it to yourself.

i ran the same exact lights on one of my haze gardens.....personally i think u need two to one plant but strain pending i could be wrong. And the side panel LED's really dont do anything unless u put it under the plant and the lower branches and bud sites will get atleast some minor light penetration.....good grow so far i think, keep it up

and to answer ur question bro, they are 90w UFO LED's, and they runn about 150 USD apiece, but they make up for it bc they have no heat signature and they use around 75% less electricity then any HID light...........they equal a 400w MH system, or so i have been told

They "say" they equal 400HPS but what I have also read is that SPECTRUM IS EVERYTHING! :P Now even though I got the two UFO's used from a buddy, I have no clue what they are or what their spectrums or what is... he jsut sold them to me cheap so I could be able to start my first grow. When I get deeper into it I will eventually purchase or create my own LED's with perfect spectrums and watts... but for now its just trial and error while I learn. I know 1 UFO has RED/BLUE and 1 UFO has RED/BLUE/WHITE. They are usually $150ea but I got mine for MUCH CHEAPER $60ea.

Awesome info... thanx
Everything that I have read so far informs me that the 440nm and 660nm spectrum ranges the plant is able to best respond to. When I invest into another set of LED's these are just one part of what I am looking for... I also am trying to learn about the Lumens and IR spectrums too... If anyone here has ever SUCCESSFULLY created their own LED lights from scratch come show me some stuff and I would love to talk to you

Erm if you liked that then I am following a combo of Guod, Gastanker and the fella in the video at the end of this https://www.rollitup.org/led-other-lighting/562946-my-research-into-light-led.html. Guod has nailed a really peachy design (dude, it's R elegant), Gastanker has had non LED related issues but he is using the same type of LED design as I plan to and has made some useful, insightful and knowledgeable observations.

Hiya mate I came across your post and when I saw you were about to flush I had to butt in (please forgive me ) trust me those plants are no where nearly ready to flush yet I think you could have 3-4 weeks left now is the time to up the level (boost) of nutes....... not down
I know the seed packets say at so many days but honestly they lie .......Ive never seen a good auto crop in less than 70 days..... that was worth bothering with and looking at yours they are doing well..... but no where near when you should be thinking of flushing. a lot of autos I have grown have gone to a easy 12 weeks for good returns

I am inclined to agree that you need to hold off on the flushing for another week or two. Looking good, but still scrawny and needing some milk...it does a body good you know.

So I decided to flush on the 14th, and I did flush my Northern Lady. But to the advise of friends and others, I decided to give her a earth worm casting tea cocktail to revamp a few nutes in her as they told me she wasnt ready to flush. I will most likely be flushing again, but not as harsh this time, come this Friday. She is at exactly 9weeks from seed, 63days, and by what I am told 12-13 weeks is usual. I do have a little bleaching at the top of two colas, but there is nothing I can do at this time as my lights are basically at their peak in height, down side of a tent. She is looking extremely good and healthy, with only a few bottom leaves now starting to show little signs of turning color. Let me know what you think!DSC_0142.jpgDSC_0166.jpgDSC_0162.jpgDSC_0161.jpgDSC_0164.jpgDSC_0159.jpgDSC_0154.jpgDSC_0153.jpgDSC_0152.jpgDSC_0145.jpgDSC_0140.jpgDSC_0136.jpgDSC_0160.jpgDSC_0133.jpgDSC_0132.jpgDSC_0155.jpgDSC_0167.jpg

mmmm stick icky love it mate...... you watch her start to fill out now I love this stage .... good decision on the wait you will not be disappointed bud flush her when she ready..... if you haven't got a pocket microscope then wait until the hairs start to die off a little and the fan leaves start to fade and then give her a nice long flush
personally I would start flushing in about two weeks from the look of her it will be worth the wait...... very nice strain bruv you have done well especially as you are using single ufos
