Can i turn my fan off at night?

Hey guys, Got my first grow goin' on. LSD and blue cheese. 3 plants under a 125w cfl,, then i'l blast them with a 600w HPS for flowering.. Anyways, i had to move my grow from the attic to my bedroom after i fell through the ceiling.. Now i have a neat little closet setup.. but the fan is pretty loud. personally i can sleep through it but my girlfriend is moanin' about it.. and after the hole in the ceiling im lucky i'm allowed to do it at all.. Can i turn my fan off for 8 or 9 hours while we sleep? I keep the light on 24/0 during veg.

It's best not to.
I have the same problem (not with your girlfriend! lol!) I put it on a timer, which helped getting to sleep but can still wake me up. I'm now thinking about a bigger fan (only 6 inch one at the moment) running at it's lower setting. The logic being, a small fan going full out is louder than the bigger one taking it easy...

Bahahaha you fell thru the ceiling,naw in all seriousness you cool? Anyway you can turn your fan off,as long as you not flowering it should be cool you may have smaller stalks though.

If you turn your fans off once in flowering you are inviting still air which invites rot. stagnant air is not a good thing. If you have no other choice then try and just setup a handful of large pc fans. At the right speed they will still move air around the grow room at night but be very quiet at the same time.

Another reason why the attic's not the best of sites for a grow?

I'd of put my foot through the floor/ceiling on day 1, knowing me...:)

my fans go off with my lights at night, if they didnt i would never get to sleep lol they never wake me in the mornings, i would love to keep them on 24/7 though as they like there fresh air not a carbon filled room, 6 in fans on lower speed are alot quieter than others i have used im happy using them :-)

lol thanks guys for the replies.. i knew i'd get a bit of ribbing about the ceiling.. i knew i shouldnt have climbed in after having a smoke! simply missed the beam and came through the plasterboard ceiling.. so i had to rip everything out of the attic so we could get somebody out to fix it... anyways my fan is pretty cheap and loud, so il either pay the money and get a quiet one or the girlfriend will just have to suffer lol my 3 females in the closet are better than any real female!! (don't think she'l see this, believe it or not my name isn't actually annie)
