just wanted to throw that out there. been on vacation for 2 weeks up here in NYC and i'm having a great time. just a few sour experienes with people i thought i knew but came to find out they only used me. not here in NYC but here on RIU and back in Costa Rica too. sucks when you think someone is your friend and then realize that they could care less about you...only about what you can do for them. sucks when you honestly try and help someone out or just be a FRIEND and get stomped on as soon as they get bored with you or have no more use for you.

the world is a cynical place. makes being a good guy tough. see you guys around.

tis life dude, i would love to have a true friend to trust. but seeing how i move from place to place for school it makes it difficult.

fasho scoob some people are takers, some are givers, sometimes it sure sucks to be a giver but peoples laughs and good karma makes it all even out in the end.... come to cali well go fishin anytime.

It happens more often than you think. Every time I get screwed, I swear it's the last time I'll EVER be nice to ANYBODY, but.............

I know what you mean I had a freind for years always said he'd never rat cocksucker tried ratting me out as soon as he was looking at hard time thank god I heard of him getting busted otherwise I'd still be in prison and the fucker brought it on him self he smacked his girl around and trashed his apartment and got caught with a bunch of shit. I really don't trust anyone thiers not too many trust worthy people out their. their all out for themselves.

So well put sfguy, lots of selfish greedy individuals in this world we are in. The good thing is scoob is part of the solution not the problem. Folks who take take find themselves facing bad juju more often than not. Not a good way to go thru life in my opinion. I wont go into detail all i'll say is ive been burned before and learned from the experiance. I want to attract people like scooby! I always seem to have to gop thru 3-4 takers before i find a gem like scooby! Yes ive read your threads and know your part of the solution not the problem. As far as im concerned its there loss! Yep, people can suck. True friends are getting harder to come by these days. It seems when you are a nice guy people see that and take advantage. Pure bullshit.

I have been reading up on Costa Rica and Central America a ton lately. After Belize this Nov. I am heading to Ecuador. I have to check that place out. I just know that the ugly American attitude will ruin it before I can enjoy it. I hope you are ok in CR.

Sometimes when I'm feeling a lil down, there's this thing that I do that helps. It's not for everybody, but maybe you would benefit from it too, so I'll mention it here.

I also hate fake people. For example, the other day I was at the mall shopping for some new clothes, and I came across a rather pretty, pale lady. I tried saying hello to her but she didn't respond. I said hello again, and again, no response. In fact, she didn't even move. It was about this point that I realized that it wasn't a real person at all, but a mannequin! How am I to function in a society with all these fake people faking me out all the time?!

Im in the same boat as u scooby. Always their when my friends need me to help move, or to help anything really and most of the time its last minute on their part but i still help em. Not for good karma but if i feel u really do need help to do something i will be their with u stride for stride.
But as soon as i need help ill ask a month in advance and keep reminding. As soon as the day come "oh sorry bro i dont have gas" or oh i forgot bro but ill help tomorro. Its bullshit.
To be honest i have had tons of friends. So much i dont remember alot of em but they all know me sumhow. Bt i can say this i have had 1 best friend for the past 5 years but he moved away for school so im kinda assed out in the best friend catagory. Have a couple close friends but they only like to do stuff if theres beer or weed. And are pretty lazy. I got sick of doin the same shit everyday.

IU think most people become assholes because of those who were born assholes, screwed someone over and that person had all the 'nice' knocked out of them. Then everyone is in a constant fight to protect their assets, interests and emotions... instead of giving everything in the good faith that someone else will give them their all in return.

If only we could all let our guard down, because someone will always have your back if you have theirs.

Oh, and you're rich, so people will want to screw you in a bad way :( Sad but true..
