reflectors for your CFL light bulbs.

I tried many different ways to make reflectors from my CFL light bulbs. I've tried everything from ceiling grid wire with aluminum foil, even looking into store bought options. But I think I figured it out, I saw this tutorial on somewhere I think it was here on riu about making the most out of your fluorescent tubes. In the video they took metal tape and put it on the top of the fluorescent bulbs directing all the lights down words. I did the same thing with a piece of mylare on my CFL light bulbs. You can easily see the difference especially if you're using your light bulbs just out in the open. Here's a few pics of it in action.View attachment 2340606View attachment 2340607

Not bad. You would be better off hanging the lights vertically and train the plants around the entirety of the bulb. The reflected light is lost quick and there still is some side portion of the cfl that isnt being used.

True but I'm likeing haveing each bud have its own light, about 3 inchs above the bud. I just ordered a 400 watt hps light and I'm stoked. Ill still use cfl for veg.

True, but you gotta make sure the base of your CFL doesn't get burned up if you hang them vertically. Not all CFLs are created equally, and they can get very hot at the base, melt, burn, whatever. You gotta be careful about CFLs getting to hot at the base in general, but, especially if they're vertical.
