Can you intake air from your regular living space with little to no issues and take in mind I'm doing DWC LED grow. Now about the carbon filter. Can an old AC be converted into one. The ones that hang out of the window of course. And what type of exhaust would you consider in the range not over 200 dollars

hey man,

if you have 200 dollars, just buy an in line fan and carbon scrubber, i bought mine on ebay for about 140 for both, i grow in a closet, temps at 79, covers the smell, and is relatively quiet.

Hope this helps,

All depends on the size of garden you have . For a small room or a conpletly sealed medium sized room I recommend a sunleaves windtunnel 4" fan (120.00) with an hth supply 4" carbon filter Jr (50.00) for exaust and a cheap 50-100cfm duct fan (20-50.00) for intake. If it is still too hot you can always turn on that AC .

Yes you can intake air from your living quarters and it will be fine it might not have as much c02 but its probably a bit better because the temperature is adjustable, as far as the ac goes i am not sure if i understand the question? Are you asking if you could gut the old ac and convert it into a stealth exhaust? If so i would say sure although it might look a bit funny if you live in a cold area when there is steam rising from it in the middle of winter, as far as the exhaust goes any one of these should do you fine, http://www.htgsupply.com/Category-Fan-&-Filter-Combos.asp just remember its always better to have more ventilation than you need than not enough when you need it, fan speed controllers are also a good thing to keep the sound under control.

Thank you guys for The input, Ididn't think about the steam in the cold, but I'm going to look into fan and filter options.
