How do u feel about the 2' T5's?

Need to add additional lighting,broke 1 of my lamps. I already have a hps lamp but heat is an issue so i was thinking maybe 2' T5's anybody use them?
 
I use (2) 4 foot 4 Lamp T5s in veg for my babies, and I love em. I do have (2) 3000 and (2) 6500 in each lamp as well. Seem to grow like crazy with em... at least for me.

They do put out a bit of heat though which I wasn't expecting or did think of, so had to induce some cool air to room to compensate.

im limited on room as well and also flowering. I figure if i hang the T5 to light the back of her with the hps on the tops it'll probly be good. I think the 2' only put out like 8,000 lumens
 
i use only 2' t5 for veg and they work great. i have 3 lights, 2 are 4 bulb and 1 is 8 bulb, the strange thing is the 4 bulb use .8 amps while the 8 bulb uses 2.3 amps.

Ya for veg im sure they're fine. It'll probly prolong the flowering process
 
how can you say that? any extra light will always help. and dont think just adding some light will dramatically shorten the process either, i went from 2k to 3k and i dont notice a time difference.
 
Been using 2ft T5's for veg and bloom and have good results. I love them, Don't have much room and they work just fine for me.
