Building a grow tent...

Hey all so here's my question. I'm going to build a grow tent for 2 plants. The dimensions are 2'x3'x5'. I'm only using CFL's so heat is not a factor. I'm wondering If I just cut a couple of holes in the tent walls and cover them with carbon filters if there will be enough air flow between them and the desktop fan inside. Because of it's small size and lack of heat do you think this could work? Will I suffocate my plants? I really can't affored an inline fan nor do I want the noise from one. Any ideas or input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your time,
Puff.

heat is very much still an issue. The amount of cfls to veg and flower with only a pc fan will be running close to the upper 80s. Air exchange is not an area to skimp on dude sorry..

Sorry I should have been more clear.. Not a Desktop Computer fan but a fan that would sit on a desk or table... it's face is almost 10" across...
My question was angled more towards how well will air flow through a carbon filter without an inline fan to do the work...

That does make it slightly better but its rough to get good airflow without some direction. The fan will bemovingthe air inside thetent around but doingvery little for pushing it out through side mounted filters

For a tent its almost required to have an intake and exhaust if its goingto be closed. With a more powerful exhaust than intake

Darn hey.. I wonder if I could some how rig up a couple of small carbon filters attached to PC fans mounted to the ceiling of the tent.. I'll have to MacGyver up something..
Thanks for your help.

Youd be better using an 8-10inpersonal fan attached to ducting on the outside and attach ducting to a flange and carbon filter on the tent. For low noise and cost thats a good bet

2x3x5=30 cubic feet

You need to exchange the air about 3 times a minute, depending on how much heat is generated.
So you need to move air at a rate of about 90 cfm.

CFLs generate heat. I added 6 - 23 watt CFLs to my (3x 3.5 x 4.5) veg room and it made it too hot.

Turn on your lights and put a thermometer in there and see what you are working with
