If you enter private property without permission, conduct illegal activity, leave what you claim is your property there, then you have zero expectation of retaining "ownership" of that property. It is abandoned property. You do not retain ownership rights to stuff you planted on property you don't own. Nobody stole from you because you didn't own it. If you want to argue there is some kind of unwritten "code" between growers . . . well, good luck with that. Anybody can have some unwritten "code" they abide by.

Just because one grows on government property, when they made it illegal for no good reason, doesn't mean one should get ripped. This being said, if you don't own it, not for us canadians (its 'crown' land), its public property, they got the right to take it, but i wish people had some sort of morals to not want to steal/fuck over someones hard work.

Imma snag me some berries if i see em in a park or some shit, but im not gonna go into someones berry field and fill a bucket. (not sayin id rip an outdoor grow).
Bottom line is that it should be legal/decriminalized and let anyone grow there own. Most rippers probably only rip because there too afraid of the penalty of growing their own.

hey it's easy money for these people, unless the plants are on your land they are not yours to be robbed.

i had a 5400w garden that got took a week before harvest, they left my equipment intact and i have since moved it to a safer location, i sort of had the last laugh becaue i have used that set-up to grow pounds since. if they had stolen/ damaged all my gear i would be fucked!.

I think it entirely depends where they are grown. If you are growing on public land then tough shit, people are much entitled to rip it as they are to destroy it. I do not agree with taking something from public land that someone has obviously intentionally planted, bu tough shit, that's why peple buy houses with back yards, you knew full well going into the grow that the plants were as much yours as they were anyone elses. Like planting a strawberry plant in a public park and getting pissed off because all the kids ate the strawberries.

i got ripped last year in my gorrila grow. i had a tree growing prolly two pounds dry. it was huge. they snagged the whole thing. MUTHAFUX! since it wasnt my property i boobie trapped it this year. comon down rippers im ready for ya.

If I found a booby trapped plant on my property, you would have one hell of a surprise waiting for you upon your return. I hope you get an ass full of rock salt from the property owner, maybe you'll learn something about respecting other people's property.

There seems to be a real line in the sand here for people who grow on their own land & those that grow on others.

I sort of feel the same way. If its on your property & someone rips its KLOBBERIN time. But if its a gorilla grow it does seem a but more acceptable. I guess ripping really is a part of the formula during a gorilla grow. If you had hidden it better?

Once again, for the record I have not & do not intend to ever be a ripper. But that being said if I'm out for a walk in the woods & come across a grow I'm not saying I wouldn't take a few buds just to try. To be honest I really word probably put a smoke report on a tree or something. I would NEVER take a whole plant & I honestly hope that I probably wouldn't take even a nug but I am human.

I do find it interesting the differences of opinion. I don't think anyone's admitted to do it though. Lets go on the opinion that rippers are not sophisticated to be online

ok ok. i did say i booby trapped it. i thought someone was gonna ask what i did. i booby trapped the perimeter with wire and can system. noone will be hurt i was just trying to distract them this time. peace!

Anyone ever rip? Did you take it all? Just some? Did you leave a mess or did you nail a hundred dollar bill to a tree in the area?

If you've been ripped. Did you lose it all? Would it be acceptable if they only took a branch or 2?


Just wondering. I have never ripped or been ripped but I know a couple people that do it & they seem to have no issue with it. This is why I ask these questions.

My opinion is leave they stuff where it is. But at the same time if someone found my grow & sampled it as long as they lft a note letting me know it was awesome i'd prob be ok with it. As long as they just took a few nugs.

I almost used them on a guerrilla grow once against rippers, on government property actually. Only reason I didn't was the presence of too much wildlife, and that last comment says a lot of what I think of rippers. I didn't even do an outdoor grow this year due to the early drought, but imagine how you would feel having hauled water all summer to have some other asshole steal your hard work.
