Back in the game! Bubblelicious, Hashberry, and some freebies

What's up fellow RIU'ers? Getting back into the wonderful world of cultivation after a long hiatus. My previous experience was a bit over a year ago, and I was by no means a pro. Got my beans in from The Attitude last week no problem and started the germination process on most of them tonight, paper towel method. Roll call is as follows, 8x Bubblelicious-Nirvana, 8x Hashberry-Mandala, 2x Heavy Duty Fruity-T H Seeds, 1x Trainwreck, and 1x Blue Dream both by a company by the name of Humbolt Seed Organisation(its spelled that way). I ordered a 10 pk of Hashberry and Bubblelicious and got the rest for free, plus a Chemdawg and 2 Darkstars that I'm holding back for now. Don't wanna put all my eggs in one basket as they say. Does anyone know anything about HSO? I've heard of the strains before but never the company. Actually, I think some of those strains are from other breeders, and Trainwreck was a clone only strain I thought. And if anyone has any experience with any of these strains I would greatly appreciate any input about your experience.

Also, I'm in need of some additional equipment. Specifically a pH meter. And funds are very tight. Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced meter that works? I need a cheap one but don't want to waste my money on something that doesn't work.

17 of 20 seeds cracked in less than 24 hrs. And thats w/o my heat mat, which I can't find since my last venture into this hobby. All the Bubblelicious seeds, 7 Hashberries, a Heavy Duty Fruity, and the Blue Dream. Planted them all in solo cups w/ drainage holes drilled. Using a new seedling soil, Burpee. Hope it works out. Next step is to dust of the t5 setup. Don't think they are ready for the 1k yet, lol. Pics to come when they begin to break the surface.

I used to use pH meters and some people will swear up and down that the most accurate reading is necessary. However after investing in some simple pH drops I have never looked back, especially if you are never changing up your feeding schedules. Probably not what you wanted to hear, but pH pens are just such a huge expenditure.

Actually thats exactly what I wanted to hear. I will still get a pH tester at some point but it's nice to hear someone is getting by without one. Successfully.


So my cotyledons on the Hashberries were doing something I've never seen or heard of. They were discolored, which I know is normal for needing a feed, but they were not yellow but more of a purple spotted. Some of the cotyledons on the Bubblelicious were the normal yellow which led me to believe that they were hungry. So I gave my first feeding today with General Organics Grow, Root, Marine, and Bioweed. I used recommended dose for 1 week seedlings. So has anyone ever seen or heard of this purple color instead of yellow?

Its encouraging to hear another positive review. Does it frost up like Mandala claims it does? I've heard answers from both ends of the spectrum here. Also, how are your yields?
