ok thank you! my other concern is that after tomorrow when i hang them to dry, will the powder milder increase, or persist to grow? the temp is set to 70 and humidity at 50 for the drying process. also i live in AZ so plants tend to dry a bit quicker as is....

Cut off the leaves that have the mildew since you're harvesting anyway, you don't want to come back to powdery mildew everywhere.

yes, that is what i am currently doing, clipping as much as possible, even though its minute it worrys me....but again should i be concerned about the drying process with this issue?

If your goint to wipe it down or off spray it with some water first so you don't spread the dry mildew and run a heavy duty fan on it after you wiped it down to dry off the excess moisture...

When your ready to harvest do a quick rinse in 1/4 part h2o2 and water to kill off any other mold or pests and give them a hefy rinse in clean water. Let them dry with a fan blowing on them for at least 1 hour to throughly dry out the rinse water. I would manicure them first before the soak but it doesnt really matter. Just make sure they are not dripping when you hang them to dry out...

@its saturday- thank you, when you say rinse do you mean i can have a fully manicured plant ready to hang and then spray it or mist it with H2O2 and water? ...do i only spray infected area, and will this effect the bud itself?

Yes you should be concerned cause all it takes is the leaves to lay on the buds, wiping it off is bs cause it can still leave traces of it.

so other than trying to remove all the infected areas, what would be my next step and/or option? is it to late to get a spray being that I'm cutting them to hang on the 11th....? =(
its such a beautiful harvest and then this appears....again its a very minimum

I soak them for 2-3 minutes after cutting so the h2o2 gets everywhere... thats why it's important to keep a fan on them to dry them out after each rinse... You can fully manicure your plant before you do the soak but spraying on will not be enough you want a good soak 3-5 minues or so to kill everything off... and same with the rinse.

i am going to try this method of soaking 1 cup h2o2 and 5 gallons water, the Jorge Cervantes video gave a pretty thorough step by step! thank you all very much i will post a picture so you can all take a look at the crop just a few minutes!

i tried h202, didnt really do much.
cutting/wiping should do it. PM doesnt really come back that fast if it isnt already out of control.
i have plenty of exp. with PM. it doesnt just get out of control overnight

try spraying with milk (avoid spraying buds.) if you are truly concerned.
if it works or not.. idk. but ive heard it does from multiple people

I'd skip the 24 hours of darkness if you're already having mildew issues.

The debate will go on forever on whether or not it makes a difference. My vote is that it's a waste of time and a wives tale that puts you at an uneccessary risk of mold and mildew. I've done it and not done it and I didn't notice a difference except that my plant and buds looked like shit afterwards. It was actually kind of a bummer and I'll never do it again. Especially since IMO Trich's get more amber when you cure anyway. Not sure if they get more cloudy but I know they get more amber so there is some maturation during the cure.

For what it's worth I do flush however, I do believe in that. On that note I may start a wives tale thread and see what people think about the various tales/methods/applications involved in cultivation.

From what I've seen so far in my travels is that people tend to micro-manage their own experience with growing.

It starts with the seed purchase and the doubts that arise about getting the shipments etc. and ends with the cure and questions about how often to burp. In hindsight I bet most people laugh at some of the shit they have put themselves through when it comes to trying to perfect this wonderfull hobby. I know I do.

Forget the 24 hours darkness, dry quickly close to fans on high. The longer it takes to dry, the higher the rh the more you will lose to mold.
