Serious AK47, RP OG Kush, Purple Marty, 600 x 2, Veg+Bloom

6 x Serious AK47, 1 x Riserva Pravada OG Kush and 1 Purple Marty

Started in Light Warrior, currently under a standard 600w MH.

I'll be vegging for about 4 weeks, using aggressive lst methods.

They are soon to be transplanted into their final home of 5g of Ocean Forest, Happy Frog, Perlite and Dolomite Lime.

I'll be flowering under 600w Ushio HPS and a 600w Sunmaster Cool Deluxe MH conversion. I may switch out the Sunmaster though if I don't like the results.. We're in experimental mode for the time being. :)

My room has a constant fresh air supply so I will not be using Co2.

Feeding will begin in a couple weeks and I will be using Veg+Bloom thanks to the good people over at Hydroponic Research who were so confident in their product that they sent me 2 free samples! (I told them I would rep them up for it, good or bad).

wish i'd seen yer post before today. i put my smallest 2 in some ocean forest with added perlite to soften the blow a bit..under a 400... 4 of mine look about like yours but 2 of em not so hot. i figured if the ffof burns these 2 then i would have learned somethin and i'll have 4 healthy plants left to eventually get clones from..was at the store today and didnt get any light warrior and wish i had've ..i live in the sticks and it's a 100 mile round trip to anything but walmart or lowes .these ak 47 are the only plants i've ever seen besides northern lights and they were all clones. i'm really enjoyin watchin these seeds grow. hope you take a lot of pictures so i can watch and learn......stumjumper,what %of happy frog & ocean forest is yer final mix?

2 parts OF 1 part HF, another part perlite and a small handful of dolomite per 5g.

They've all been transplanted for a few days now. Both 600's are kicking now and I have a slight heat issue on warm days like today, good thing there arent many (if any) left.

The AK47's are all doing great although one of them has a dried up brown spot in the middle of one leaf blade. I'm not sure what happened there. The new growth is fine though. The Kush and Purple Marty have taco'd top leaves. So they don't like so much heat and possibly too much light. I moved the light from 17" up to about 24. We'll see how they are doing tomorrow. The AK's are liking the atmosphere though. I will be glad when we get some cooler days though. I knew adding another 600 would raise the temps but my max temp under the lights today was 90.1.

I'm a picture whore man, only reason I didn't take any tonight was because I downloaded a new game for my phone and drained the battery at work tonight lol.

So yesterday I gave them their first shot of Veg+Bloom, a very light dose of 1 tsp-5g..

This is very against my normal routine. I don't usually feed until after week 4, my soil mix has plenty to get them to flower however there are some beneficials in the VB like silica, carbs and fulvics that I thought would be a good addition to the beginning of their veg stage. They liked it. They really perked up last night and grew quite a bit.

I love watching the immediate response to being staked over. I've yet to grow a strain that didn't like to be LST'd. 3 days and they are branching out like crazy already. I believe I have 2 different AK phenos, one is slower than the others, and my OG is also a lot slower. The PM is the one with the larger fan leaves, that plant is vigorous and seems to be stretching a lot more than the rest.

some healthy lookin youngsters right there. i'm very interested in yer lst show for future reference with the ak. sure is a different experience watchin a plant grow from seed and they look nothin like a northern light. think the leaves are bigger for one thing.. stumpjumper, i wonder how it'd go if you put those in 12/12 phase right now?. read a journal by sannie once and he went straight seed to flowering with some killing fields if i recall correctly. anywho,it was impressive...just wonderin how they'd react to that. from what i've read if you let ak go in the stretch phase you'll have some trees on yer hands which of course could be good or bad..guess timing really is everything...cant wait to vape some of this stuff.. ps: how tall were they when you lst'd em?.. mine are doin very well but think yours are bushier.

They were about 4" when I bent them. I'm sure they would do good flipped right now, just a lesser yield. I just harvested a Purple Haze that I grew 12/12 from seed and it yielded 3oz and was around 3ft tall.

I go 4 weeks with my veg or until I run out of places to tie the branches down. I've done some super stretchy sativas this way (Sannies actually) and had no problems at all. However I do supercrop and usually run the MH for the first 2-3 weeks of flower.

Well I'm at least a week ahead of you man, they do a lot of growing in a week, especially once the growth boom starts. These plants are definitely booming now. :D

stems on these 6 have gotten rounder in last week. one thing i dont understand is why yers smell and mine dont. theyre in a small bathroom by themselves and i cant smell nothin.maybe its a bit optimistic but really hope ak is big enough for cuttings at the end of this week.maybe next monday(10/22)....being as i'm in vertical from what i've read about 6 or 8 plants,4 foot tall in a circle around a 1000 hps would do well..i read that these things double or triple in veg. ouch!...shit could get out of hand.
