First grow & smoke report

Strain: Nirvana - Blue Mystic, dried for 10 days and cured for 28 days

Growth: Veg - 4 wks from seed Bloom - 8 - 9 wks

Nutes: Veg - Soil tabs Bloom - Vintage Bat guano (2/15/2)

Yield: 2.5 oz from 2 plants under 250 watt hps

Bag Appeal: 7-8/10 Not the most dense buds, light green when cured, with lots of long
orange hairs, the more sativa pheno was a lot more frosty & looked a lot nicer.

Smell: 6.5/10 Virtually no smell when growing, when cured 1 pheno smelled like some sort
of berry bubblegum & the other more sativa pheno had a lemon/lime smell, very nice smell but not a strong smell.

Taste: 6/10 Not much taste to the smoke, very soft not harsh at all, just taste sort of fresh or floral. Not a great taste
but not bad.

The High: 6/10 - 0.25g smoked through large bong - Slightly relaxing body stone but there is more of a sativa side, with
lots of thoughts and hard to concentrate, heartbeat feals slightly increased, 30 mins after first hit, the high feels more
energetic and music seems louder. 60 mins after first hit feel more dazed and relaxed than before. I would say it for me it
last about 1.5 - 2 hrs, slowly wearing off after 75 mins leaving me relaxed but not tired.

Comments: Personally i would give this 6/10 overall, a very easy plant to grow and would yield good with experienced
growers, and is ideal for someone looking for a low smell strain. The high is good but could do with being slightly
stronger, but overall its better than i thought.

its resistant to hermaphrodites, seems like a low smell BbxNL hybrid. doesn't like being rootbound but does not herm under stress from my experience, and i tried HARD to make them herm, they just packed on more trichs. they like nitrogen in flower or they will yellow around week 3-4. I'd give the best pheno an 8 and the worst a 6. overall its a solid 7 imo. Alot of people complain about nirvana and their stability.

Yes in its description on nirvana they say it is similar to NL. I have also heard people say nirvanas seeds were not good but id say it seemed pretty stable, things were far from perfect and still performed well and got 3 fems from 5 seed.

Grew this one outdoors in the northeast this year. Great expectations turned to disappointment. Only 30% germination on regular seeds giving one male two females. Very beautiful plant got bud rot early and spread fast. Lost all the big colas on top and lots of side buds too. Stone is weak compared to other strains same conditions. Maybe I will try again indoors sometime.

Damn! this strain was popular as all crap back in the OG days. it was up there with the popularity of white rhino back then. sry to hear about the bad grows. i give nirvana praise all day long, but i have had a couple "non-keepers" from them. also had gems too tho... especially with their NL hybrids that ive had, makes me wonder about this strain and finding the right phenotype.

Good review mtf. Just completed my first grow using nirvana BM as well. Pheno was indica dominant, very short an bushy. Smelled like fresh berries during flowering, after two weeks of curing smells more like sour/rotten berries. Nice head high to start leading to a relaxed and warm body stone. A good weed for a day off at home, or many days off...

Good review mtf. Just completed my first grow using nirvana BM as well. Pheno was indica dominant, very short an bushy. Smelled like fresh berries during flowering, after two weeks of curing smells more like sour/rotten berries. Nice head high to start leading to a relaxed and warm body stone. A good weed for a day off at home, or many days off...

Thanks man, yeah iv got a cut of this so i plan on keeping for a bit, how did you find it to grow?

My plant was very foregiving. Unfortunetly I couldn't give her ideal growing conditions but provided the essentials and she grew well. Had higher humidity towards end of flowering yet no signs of mould appeared. Added some extra nitrogen during flowering as showed deficiency around 3rd week of flower. Still have 8 seeds so will grow them out for a keeper when circumstances improve. Did you have any probs or tips on what did/didn't work?

This was my first grow and like you things where not pefect put they still perform well, as you and someone else said they like lots of nitrogen but overall very easy plant to grow,
good luck with the other 8 seeds!

Did a couple more grows with this and would re-score 7.5, buds turn nice purple colour when left to flower a bit longer and with a good cure the flavour really comes out.

my pheno only went purp outdoors, although i gave my pheno a solid 7.5 in my old report as i had several girls to choose from, the best girl hardly yielded any bud but the smoke was very nice and mostly heady.
