electricity usage.

Hey guys,
Im new to all of this and dont have pictures yet but things are going very well. i've gt 16 plat 6 are about two feet (unknown genitics) insane branching and peplower development in two of them especially. Then there are 10 BB (big bud) plants about 13 inches talls, they are currently under 2 4ft 8 buld t5's (veg spectrum of course) on and 18:6 photoperiod. i've kept the pH of the soil from dipping below 6.4 averages 6.8-7.2. dont supplement co2 but use 20 lbs of dry ice in water twice a week and completely fog the tent for about 3 hours or so. Does that help? or not often enoguh? i believe that why i've had no pests problems thusfar. My real question is this. when is your electrical use considered suspicious. I think it'd be stupid to steal electricity to save maybe 200 a month. right now i have just set up 3 600watt air cooled hoods and ballast.so thats a total of 285000 lumans in a 4X8 tent. feel like thats a little much.But im rambling. I know how to calculate exactly how much they will cost, i dont care about that, i want to know if i could add 3 more hoods and two more equal tents 4x8 and just put 2 in each so that 3600watts in light, and i only have one fan right now but would need two more, then ya go prolbaly 300-500 more watts of random other stuff so i figure about 4200 watts, and the house would be usuing very minimal additional electricity. a tv alarm, labtop, and fridge. nothing else. is this extremely suspiceus in a non medical state?

You might want to look into LED, Induction and Plasma Induction, even if only to supplement your HID's, a 400W HID supplemented with LED, induction/plasma or even T5's can produce some very impressive results.

3 small space heaters would put out 4500w or 4.5 kwh so that is not too much in comparison,the extreme suspicion would come from the WH or the wasted heat as law enforcement like to call it,1 tent can be anything even a dryer or tv but 3-4 tents doesn't compare to any household item because of all the wasted heat,but you only have to worry if you have helicopters flying around your neighborhood with heat goggles trying to find grow houses.They fly around my neighborhood everyday literally over my house with spot lights so i moved my grow to a new location.

ok so that electircal use wouldn't be suspecious. Also have carved out a hole in the floor and had planned to run the exhaust underneath the house so it wouldnt be so concentrated in on place such as an exhaust port. thoughts?

as far as im aware in the states they arent allowed to fly around using infared as it is considered a breach of your privacy. different over here but im sure i read that somewhere recently

always keep in mind even if they arent allowed to do it.. doesnt mean they won't go and do it anyway. our law enforcement is corrupt. too many watts and being on a scheduled time can tip off the electric company leading to telling law enforcement. the law pays the electric companies to keep tabs on things like that.

leo can't just go by your heat signature. matter of fact they have to have other evidence to get a warrant before they can even bring up the issue of a heat signature such as going through your trash or having someone tip them off. so if you aren't a med card holder watch what goes in the trash and don't piss anyone off who may know what you r doing.and by the way my 12/12 cycle runs 8pm to 8 am where electricity is cheapest and i work afternoons so thats usually when i'm home using power normally anyway. goodluck and happy growing

before i forget, like most bill collectors and utilities they don't really care where your money comes from or what you r doing as long as the bill is paid in full and on time. goodluck and happy growing

Can leo track online purchases, and potentially use that as evidence? What, other than the obivious, could be evidence? all trash is burnt once a week. i doubt it would ever be an issue but i want to be as smart as possible

if they have supporting evidence they can go into your financial records. they need probable cause though. ive seen things where people have been followed after coming out of a hydro shop and they watch them for months after and go through rubbish. they cant use heat or financial records to arrest u without a warrant which they would have to have overwhelming evidence to get.

Laws vary state to state but in chicago they do this,they even hired more dea

If you can keep the temps down then it shouldn't be too much of a problem,just be cautious,don't throw away plant material either chop and flush or do like me and feed it to a garbage disposal.
