Individuals made money, not us. Do you know how many millionaires the wars created?Trick question, no fair lol. You said fought over money, if we made any extra money from it, it was a bonus.

Let me ask you, why did Japan attack Pearl Harbor? Surely, it wasn't just out of spite.
I was always told it was because they were allies with Germany and thought they could crush the US military by hurting their Air Force, they wanted to be and thought they were the superior race, same as the Nazis.
You can read all about it here:

Did you fall asleep in history class?
I dunno about that, was never mentioned ever so as far as I'm concerned that's just a theory.
Even still, if that did happen to of happened, it's still a bonus.
Could you post the quote you are responding to? It's hard to know who you are responding to without it.
Yeah sorry, I use another forum and always forget how active this one can get lol.
It was to you tho, About your above post. It was always said that it was because they wanted to hurt our biggest military base so that they could have a better chance, plus the Japenese was teamed up with Germany so they thought they did have a chance. We also always have allies during every war so that helped us alot too, even if we did do alot of the damage. Getting slightly off topic here but they did give us a hard time because of their reluctance so they did put up quite a fight. The main thing that was taught tho was they did it so them and Germany would have a better chance winning over the world and they didn't want us getting in their way.
How many millionaires has peacetime created since 1945?
you and I live in an imperialistic nation, our wealth comes from theft and rape of sovereign nations. Are you comfortable with that?

If you honestly believe a country that couldn't man a 2 front war (Russia and Europe), could support Japan at the same time; while they fought China, you have a disturbing lack of any clue of reasonable tactics.
When you factor in our embargoes on resources, you can see how we pushed them into attacking us.
They seemed to be doing a pretty good job taking over with Japan when you look at the maps.
Whatever it takes, they needed us. That's all I have to say about that.

The attack on Pearl Harbor was intended to neutralize the U.S. Pacific Fleet, and hence protect Japan's advance into Malaya and the Dutch East Indies, where she sought access to natural resources such as oil and rubber. War between Japan and the United States had been a possibility each nation had been aware of (and developed contingency plans for) since the 1920s, though tensions did not begin to grow seriously until Japan's 1931 invasion of Manchuria.
