38 Dayz old - 4 26 Watt Cfl 1 Inch Away

I am currently growing 4 Plants with 3 30W (120W Equivalent) CFL's. The each put out 2100 lumen's. Will that be enough to sustain these plants to the flowering stage or would you recommend me going with a T5 Fluorescent tubes. If so what wattage would you recommend. I am growing in a 5'x3' closet.

The 3 30watts will def be good for the veg stage 6500 k for veg. I got some T5 i will post the video haven't used t5 yet. Get some hps for flowering though or it will flower slower but it will still flower with the 30 watts you just need to get the 2500K Blub Yellow light trigger flowering just have one 6500k if you are flowring with the cfl. Although t5 is a upgrade from CFL. My T5 hold 2 40 watt blub you want 6500k for veg and 2500k for flowering

I am flowering with a 150 Watt HPS light. I am about to go and buy a T5 fluorescent grow light today actually. I have heard they are a good, cheap alternative to buying a Metal Halide light for the vegging stage. I am just wondering how long the CFI's would sustain the 4 plants I have. I have heard you need several CFI's positioned above and all around each plant 1-3" away from the foliage. That just sound like to much of a pain in the ass to me so I decided to suck it up and dish out the $150 for a T5. I have been playing around with different lights to see which one works best. I am excited to see how the T5 affects their growth rate.

In my opinion you would get better results with cfl's! Just because you can surround the plant with them!! just buy 30w minimum and in 6500k for veg! You have your hps for flower...I think t-5's are more usefull with seedlings, but have seen some people have good results with t-5's for suppliment lighting!...good luck!
