If you don't over-water, you shouldn't run in to this problem. But if you feel that the bottom stays wet too long after watering, next time you water let the runoff stop, then place the pot on a stack of paper towels and they will leach out the excess water in the soil.Yep as big Steve said roots will fill out pot then you will notice growth above the soil. Also you may run into some other problems like bottom of pot being full of water and top of soil being dry due to water sinking to bottom of pot just plain old gravity but as your roots reach bottom you may see signs of root rot as you are watering for pot size not plant size.
1 gram per watt is what people say, so 26 watts, 26 grams, 100 watts, 100 grams. Fuck the tiny grow area and give it some room, so you can be happy when it's done growing.in a 2x2x5 grow area with a plant about six inches tall, a month and a week in. what kind of light should I use to promote better growth, I have those twisted looking mercury lights on, two of them, with a combine wattage of 26.. -.-
Yeah, the paper towel suggestion was one to hold him over till they got bigger. Sort of like having much better drainage and can be done until the plant can actually handle and use that moisture. On one hand it seems you are telling him to evenly water his soil, but then saying doing that will cause root rot. I do agree an the graduating transplants, letting the roots somewhat fill out a pot before going up a size, so not trying to argue with you on the concept.Roots search for water your medium needs to be evenly watered. As you are in big pots keeping all the medium moist will lead to the problem I stated earlier. It's no good using paper towels etc to soak up water as when you water again it will keep happening until your plant gets bigger.
1 gram per watt is doing really good. Not average, and not easy. I would say if you pull .5 gram per watt on your first grow, you're off to a good start.1 gram per watt is what people say, so 26 watts, 26 grams, 100 watts, 100 grams. Lol u've done this to me twice now1 gram per watt is doing really good. Not average, and not easy. I would say if you pull .5 gram per watt on your first grow, you're off to a good start.
Not riding you. Just trying to not get new growers hopes up too high. Its a nice target though, but the whole 1 gram per watt hinges on so many different things. If I have a 1000w hid with one plant, I would have to yank 3 pounds off that thing just to make 1 per. Same with a single 40w cfl over one plant. It will be rather difficult to make that plant yield 40 grams. Plants-to-light ratio has to be good to make the numbers work.Lol u've done this to me twice now
get down on it, doolooloo, doolooloo, get down on itNot riding you. Just trying to not get new growers hopes up too high. You're a special individual.get down on it, doolooloo, doolooloo, get down on it
Haha I was referencing that song because you have to get down and have passion for what your doing like the passion you have during sex to get that nut. Which will result in 1 gram per watt. You're a special individual.
